Our Story

The bug first bit Tim Hunter in 2010 while at the Cape Town Earthdance he was dragged to by some friends. Bringing this passion back to KZN, and when not actually attending festivals all over South Africa, Tim has spent the past few years working behind the scenes painting decor and setting up local psychedelic trance events. During this time, Tim learnt to DJ by regularly playing up to 8 hour sets at house parties. It wasn’t long after that until HUNTA made his debut appearance in the KZN outdoor scene at the New Years event, Event Horizon 2015. HUNTA is now a regular feature on most KZN lineups and you can always expect a tasteful and smooth, if slightly heavy, psychedelic experience from him. Tim is also a co-owner of Darker Dimensions, which is a driving force behind the more underground side of psychedelic trance in KZN.
