I recently participated in a 5 day water challenge hosted by who also do my beautiful personalised water bottles
The challenge was to drink 2 litres of water a day! Drinking 1 litre was hard enough 🤦♀️
Here’s what I did to increase my water intake:
Substituted cold drinks at meals with a glass of water
Added fresh lemon and mint or cucumber to the water to help the taste
Tried to drink a glass of water every 2 hours as well as a glass before bed and as soon as I woke up
Since I was breastfeeding I drank much more as water is important for milk production
Trained or went for a run, you will definitely want water after this!
The importance of water:
It helps to prevent hydration
Helps to flush out toxins
Aids digestion
Keeps your body and skin - water helps maintain skin elasticity
Carries oxygen to the brain, that’s why you get headaches if you don’t drink enough water
