I love walking down the aisle after I'm done with the decor and flower styling. Its just brings the entire picture together and makes the celebration more real.
And who can say no to a gorgeous beach wedding!!

Day 4 of the new year and here i am, only now sort of climbing on the bandwagon!! ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I am at a lost for words (something my family and close friends won't believe is possible!) Because i can't be more grateful that i have survived the past 2 years... this was not easy!! And yes there were many times i wanted to throw in the towel and hide. But i here!
Let's hope 2022 is filled with gorgeous blessings, in all shapes and sizes and let's grab hold of every opportunity that comes our way - big or small - and make the best of it!!

I just LOVE weddings!!
- and i have to remind myself every single time to trust the process of creating... To me when the flowers are
delivered, i get the some feeling like a child would when getting that first preI have to peep in each box even
before i open them. Than touch and smell each gorgeous flower before i start prepping.
YES!! It takes me hours!
But every minute worthwhile...

- there is something breathtaking about rock formation and rusticness that makes it the perfect intimate destination wedding venue! ๐
The setting lends itself to the "less is more" feel.
I seriously can't deal with how gorgeous this photograph is that Simone Neethling Photography took of the decor and flower styling and set up i did for Christine and Hubert.

- generally i enjoy every wedding i do! ๐ but there are those that really make my heart smile so hard...
This laid-back wedding of Christine Catherine Olivier & Hubert at the gorgeous was one of those weddings very close to my heart. From the first moment i met them, until the last hug on Sunday (yes i did go home and cried like a baby!) it was the greatest pleasure working with them. โค

- a Boutonniere is a floral decoration, typically a single flower or bud, worn on the lapel of a tuxedo or suit jacket. Boutonnieres were used to ward off bad luck and evil spirits.
Normally we don't give them to much thought... But a beautiful buttonhole 'decorates' the suite!

- generally on a Saturday morning, its the last few hours before you say your 'i do's'!
(Ill be running around like a mad woman making sure that everything is in place! Checking the tables, the ceremonial area etc... ๐คฃ๐คฃ)
But with the pandemic and wedding (well functions) not being allowed for many months, couples opt for elopements! ๐ they could have their special day on any day or on that date that has special meaning to them and did not fall on a weekend!!

Generally a sweetheart table is where only the bride a groom will be seated during the reception... This type of seating is becoming more and more popular. And I have to admit its a always my fav part of the planning.

- looking back at this gorgeous wedding, I realize how far we have come this past year... Having to almost "close-shop" because of covid, to having to pick up all the pieces and start again. Being a support system for that bride that had to move her special day for the 3rd or 4th time, but in the mean time you are struggling to. ๐

- The other day during a conversation i had with someone, they asked why do i still do flowers and decor styling, even after the event industry got hit so hard last year during covid.
