The name consists of 2 words. Each have individual meaning, which presents a metaphorical relationship with “events” in relation to the services provided by the company and the industry, while furthermore relating to the vision and mission of the company. The two words as stated together also present the ideals of the company when delivering event styling services: producing a bright and wonderful explosion of unique styling concepts (nova), only occurring for the duration of the event (nova), while promising something new, trendy and fashionable (nouveau).
The word “nouveau” was transformed into the singular, feminine form of the French word with the same spelling, which reads: “nouvelle”. Nova and Nouveau has the same respective definitions in French, and thus the company name presents similar when spelled in the French form of the word “nouveau”. This word form relates to Marlene’s starting point as a business owner: a woman climbing into the business world as the sole director of her company and dream.
