A DJ story that applies to all vendors our industry, when it comes to value vs costs ⬇️ (PSA : not our story, but definitely worth the time, bridefriends!)

A customer asked me how much for a wedding DJ package
𝗠𝗲: R 16 500
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: Why is it too expensive? all I need is music on the occasion!
𝗠𝗲: How much do you think it would cost you?
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: R1500 maximum... It's just easy, right?! all you have to do is play some music.
𝗠𝗲: hmm okay, maybe you can do it yourself.
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: but I don't know how...
𝗠𝗲: For R1500 I'll teach you, with that, you can save. You'll get the knowledge that you'll need.
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: Okay, I'm fine with that.
𝗠𝗲: But to get started: We need some things first:
Professional 2×CDJ"s or DJ Controller(R30 000)
Mixer (R20 000)
Speakers(10000)
light setup ( R5000)
Headphones ( R4000)
Cordles Mics (R8000)
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: Oh my. But I don't have all this DJ equipment! Do I need to buy all of that? I just only need 1 wedding DJ for the evening of my wedding?
