DID THE SABBATH END WITH THE DEATH OF JESUS?

Jesus’ mother and the women who had come to annoint Jesus on the ‘good’ Friday after his death would have been the first to know. They kept the Sabbath after Jesus’ death as we will see below. Notice also Jesus dies on a Friday, just as the Sabbath is about to begin for a reason.

The story as stated in the BIBLE goes like this, around 3pm (on what is commonly known today as Good Friday), Jesus dies (the Sabbath starts at sunset on Friday which would have been around 6pm).

“It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.” Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭44‬-‭46‬.

There is 3 hours to sunset - enough time for Jesus’ body to be taken down and buried before the Sabbath in observance of the commandment which states no work should be carried out. How do we know?

“It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.” Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭54‬-‭55‬.

We can clearly see JESUS observes the Sabbath even in his death - dies on Friday before the Sabbath, resurrects on Sunday after the Sabbath…

Jesus has died, there is no need to keep the Sabbath now right - since the law was fulfilled at the cross? You would think so. The women and Jesus’ mother would have definitely known but seems the memo missed them? The bible says they rested and kept the Sabbath AFTER HIS DEATH according to the commandment…

“Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.” Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭56‬

Did Jesus forget to tell his own mother that this SABBATH thing ends with my death and somehow Museyamwa knows?

I AM REALLY SADDENED BY THE DEATH OF FIVE SDA YOUTHS ON LAKE KARIBA

I was somehow hoping that, the sad news would turn out to be a hoax, unfortunately names and faces have been revealed and it just breaks my heart.

Apparently the boys found a fishing ridge parked by the shores of the lake, then they jumped on it, which could have been out of excitement and curiosity.

Unfortunately, as the operator of the same ridge started off into the lake, the boys must have gotten scared and misjudged the danger of getting off the boat into the water, thinking they could swim or push themselves back on land.

They started jumping off the ridge but failed to make it onto the land. The man-made lake is deep and the current under the seemingly calm waters can be severe.

The names of the deceased and their mission districts are as follows:

(1)Goodson Hamaila - John Laing Main Church (John Laing Mission District)

(2) Niza Muchiliba Los Angeles (Kanyama Mission District)

(3) Zebron Sh*tambo - John Laing Central (John Laing Mission District)

(4) Ronald Libuku - John Laing North (John Laing Mission District)

(5) Rodwell Chileshe - John Laing (John Laing Mission District)

The body of Allan Mwaanga from Kanyama is still missing. The search will continue on today, Sunday 2nd January, 2022.

Five Mission Districts are currently camping at Siavonga Secondary School for a Youth Alive program and these are Chawama, John Laing, Kanyama, Ridgeway and Shorthorn.

The sad incidence was confirmed by Innocent Siachitoba the Youth Communication Chairperson of the Lusaka Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists

I offer my sincere condolences to the families of the boys and the SDA Church for their loss.

May the Souls of the Faithful Departed Rest in Eternal Peace 😢😢😢
