The Ladies Breakfast Invites You to a Special Event!!!

In Celebration of Women's Month

Join us as we come together to support a worthy cause and empower women and children in need.

We are excited to announce that The Ladies Breakfast has partnered with the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women (Southern and East Africa) and other partners for a fundraising event. The focus of the Federation is on maternal and child health, as well as the empowerment of the girl child through educational support and that of women through various programmes.

Date: Thursday, 7th March
Time: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Venue: Siyekhaya Estate, Harare (more details on the flyer)

During this event, the Federation will highlight the importance of these initiatives and their alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By supporting maternal and child health, educational scholarships, and women empowerment programs, we contribute to SDGs such as Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10).

Our speaker for the day, John Cole is a multi award-winning Zimbabwean choreographer, TEDx Speaker, dancer, musician, actor, and creative director. He is best known for his work with the dance crews The Slickers and The Inmates, and his choreography for music videos by artists such as Ammara Brown, Cynthia Mare, Macheso, Jah Prayzah, and Winky D. He has also starred in the film Far and Away and the television series Manhound.

John’s topic for the day “Dance! [to what you believe is your rhythm and everyone will dance with you]” promises to encourage us to remain focused in spite of distractions.

Our creative director Sylvia Mushonga Sanyanga had the opportunity to put her event management skills into action when she was tasked to assist the Embassy of Canada in Zimbabwe in organising the 2023 Canada Day Reception. Organising events is something that we are very passionate about and have great experience in doing. The event was a huge success and she received a lot of compliments. More important was the message that she received from Ambassador Christina Buchan.

"A HUGE thanks for all the heavy lifting in the last six weeks to make Canada Day a successful event. It was everthing we were aiming for and more. Thanks you!!!!"

We celebrate the service providers who work with us so well. She definitely couldn't have done it without the support of the amazing team at the embassy and all the service providers who did a sterling job.
