The Fantastic Family Show - 'ALI BABA AND THE 40 THIEVES' is on the stage at Theatre by QE2 next Saturday 11th March at 11am and 3pm The story takes place in the ancient land of Persia, in a fictional bedouin camp called "Shoombalahoomba" which is headed by the Baba family, an honour that has been passed down to them for over 200 years. As a reward for their leadership, service and patriotism to Persia the Baba's were awarded the Star of Persia, a most sparkling and precious jewel that is believed to have magical properties and bestows prosperity and security where ever it is kept for those and their kin BUT a rogue band of thieves, headed by the terrible and fearsome Haroun, are scouring the land, looking for the star of Persia. In their search they raid camps and steal all the jewels and gold leaving its residents impoverished and almost destitute. The thieves live in an enchanted cave that is inaccessible unless you recite its secret password to open its entrance... and the cave is filled with jewels and gold that the thieves have stolen from surrounding camps and settlements... and so the story begins...
