Yesterday I got a request over FB referring to these florals I created for ‘Drama Queen’ editorial featured on … 7 years ago…! I also see it a lot on Pinterest all these years and I realized it still feels up to date in terms of color grouping & still looks authentic as it’s got character! For that time it was considered quite deconstructed & bold.
Now when I look at it I almost sense the bold and full-bodied Shiraz wine in my mouse as this deep purple resembles its fruitiness from blueberry and black plum flavor, almost fuschia Darcey David Austin rose remind of its medium acidity and even gives a hint to Pinot Noir but only in its accents.
Café latte garden rose brings me back to Shiraz resembling its milk chocolate flavor…
I also think of cinematographic crime scenes looking at these color contrasts and as though deconstructed arrangement when I gave it continuation of the ground… perhaps I just watched too much of Tarantino recently…
Anyways, to me it’s about boldness, flavor, character, wether it’s fruity, sour, bitter or sweet and the freedom to change dramatically between those…
Here it is, the ‘Drama Queen’, 7 years after…
What are your associations when you look at this styled shoot?
P.S. Oh yes, I’m sharing the link in bio to the feature
