The passionate blend of red rose petals and thousands of real candles.

Fatima’s henna celebration at the Royal Mirage Hotel, one of Dubai’s most beautiful properties, provided the perfect canvas for Rachna Chadha’s creative strokes. Titled The Royal Collective, the event reflected Fatima’s love for Indian heritage and history, a theme close to RC’s heart.
The challenge was to design and execute the opulence and intricate richness of the Mughal kingdom in a contained space.
Fatima , a lawyer, and her mother Seham trusted only RC to bring their vision to life. The journey began when Fatima’s aunt, Samiha , approached RC in 2022 for her daughter Buthaina’s Bollywood-themed henna night.
The jewel-toned palette of burgundy, gold, and emerald green, paired with luxurious fabrics like silk and velvet, set the stage.
The air was filled with jasmine’s fragrance and sitar melodies.
Fatima and Seham said, “We felt like we were in a Sabyasachi heirloom house or a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie,” a compliment RC deeply cherished.
The stage, designed as a Mughal palace, featured a three-dimensional, ornamental aesthetic. Seham was awe-struck upon seeing it for the first time. Colonial Indian inspirations added to the grandeur: ornate vases overflowing with flowers, chandeliers, vintage candelabras, satin and lace table linens, lanterns, cascading jasmine strings, handcrafted gold lamps, fairy lights, and a water body adorned with rose petals.
Customized food displays, candle grids, and marble console tables layered with petals and candles completed the magic.
The event left a lasting impression, with guests and the hotel management praising its grandeur and intricate details-a hallmark of ‘s work!
