When is the best time to photograph your garden projects?

The general answer is: whatever time you'd like. But the time that we shoot will determine what the photos look like.

Early morning - the light is cooler and softer and creates a freshness in your images.

During the day - the light is harsher and brighter, and also warmer. It creates harsh shadows which don't work for every garden.

Late afternoon/sunset - the light is warm and soft creating a romantic, sometimes cozy feel to your photos.

Early evening/after sunset - there is little to no natural light left, but the cobalt blue sky makes a lovely backdrop to showcase the lighting in the garden.

Originally, Kayla Nobrega Photography (2013) became K&A Studio (2019) when Akiva and I got married. We've decided to rebrand to Kayla Simoné Photography to reflect the core of our brand. I offer a personal, authentic service to couples, families, and business owners and we felt that using my name makes the brand feel more personal too. Our new colours and fonts tie in the goal of "Timeless over Trendy" and reflect the most common colours that feature in my photoshoots thanks to the desert and golden hour. I (Kayla) have been photographing weddings since 2013. I got married at the end of 2019 and got to be on the receiving end of wedding photos.

It is as exciting as the actual wedding day to sit and go through each moment, especially when they have been beautifully captured.

And that is our goal - to beautifully capture your wedding day and the essence of all those apart of it so that you can look back and smile over everything it turns out to be.
