A beautiful memory from 2023 was the creative bodypainting weekend in Hvar, an island on the coast of Croatia.

Dear friends and lovers of the World Bodypainting Festival,

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my hear for this years

There was not much hope after the last 25th anniversary on how the WBF can evolve and change to even have the slightest chance to happen again. With a team around me, with loyal supporters and sponsors we made it happen to change things for good. To be honest, my personal expectations were not high, they were solid but not high. Reality showed me different, the WBF community gave my team an amazing feedback, a feedback that can be taken to work on for the future. We are collecting all the feedbacks with pros and cons and we’ll be very much ready for 2024 if the talks with our supporters and sponsors are successful. Stay tuned there people, the date in September 2024 will be soon on the way.

But first I want to take the opportunity to thank many people who made that happen, in first place my core crew from WB Production that works on that all year which are my wife Anna, my power ladies Marlies and Denise. Then my extended crew for the production, registration, photography, video crew, tv and technical crew. They made us a layout that worked amazingly.
I thank to all the judges and volunteers involved in the festival week, the WB Academy instructors to pass on their knowledge, my DJ’s that put on the finest tunes on both main days and evening, as well as the performers at body circus and Bergliebe Rocks. I also thank my co-host on stage Bella who did an amazing job, I think it will be hard to say no for the next decade my dear ;)

I also want to apology for any inconvenience during the week that may have occurred. It was a new format, a new layout and we need to reinvent and learn. I cannot name every single person but believe me this organism, the WBF, has very many important pieces to work together. Thank you everyone for making things happen, you are AWESOME!

Bodypainting Weekend in Hvar by WB-Production

It's been some time ago, but finally we got some time to put the iphone footage from Alex Barendregt together in a review of the "WBA Bodypainting Weekend" on the island Hvar, in Croatia. With selected artists from various countries we had a very intensive creative bodypainting weekend. Thanks again everyone for beeing part of it!
