Have you ever heard of the “mărțișor”?

Back in the days, Romanians used to wear the red and white string as a symbol of fortune and protection against evil spirits. The first objects attached to the string were gold and silver coins, followed by small pieces of silver jewelry.

The popular tradition says that the “mărțișor” brings luck and they are worn at the beginning of spring by women, who usually receive them as gifts from men.

I wanted to share this short story with you so you can learn more about the beautiful country I'm coming from. Last but not least, I wish you all a beautiful spring, filled with amazing moments and hope!
