Austrian Dinner Show - brand new video!
Comment of the travel journalist Mr. Jean-Marc Papineau, contributions to a booklet: "Warsaw-Vienna - ideas to tame the two great musical capitals of Europe / Impress your eyes (and your ears!)" After visiting our show he wrote us:
"What a beautiful evening brings to life the troupe of the Austrian Dinner Show, bringing together some twenty musicians and male and female singer-dancers. For three hours, they perform with rare energy and contagious enthusiasm in exuberant costumes from different Austrian regions.
The meal-show takes place in the singular setting of one of the large rooms of the huge vaulted cellar in the basement of the Vienne town hall during which three musical parts alternate with three courses of cuisine specialties regional. Once the guests are well settled around large round tables, five musicians - four violinists and a flutist - kick off this one-of-a-kind gastronomic concert.
The musical component of the Austrian Dinner Show offers a magnificent overview of Austrian treasures, first with the presentation of excerpts from an operetta from the Tyrol region, followed by an anthology of the most beautiful songs from the Salzkammergut and, finally, a succession of the most striking Viennese melodies, polkas and waltzes, including the unmissable The Beautiful Blue Danube.
The culinary aspect proves to be of good quality with, as a starter, a plate of hors d'oeuvres followed, as a main course, by a delicious roulade of beef stuffed with vegetables and potato gratin. The visual highlight of the evening is the spectacular dessert starter presented in a huge dish with mini fireworks. Once the lights in the room have reopened, a cook sprinkles sugar on a giant whey omelet cut into pieces which will be served with plum compote to the delight of the guests. I loved this evening all the more as it was my very last during my last stay in Vienna."
Many thanks for your nice words!!!
