Driver/Forklift operator
Within the Poultry Industry involving Live Chickens

• You will be required to work Sunday to Thursday Nights and will include most Public Holidays and work within a weekly production schedule.
• You will be required to: - unload semi-trailers of empty steel crates/modules and transport them into chicken sheds where chicken catchers will fill these crates/modules for you to reload back onto the semi-trailers. Consistent delivery of the crates/modules into the chicken shed is paramount so the catchers can continue to catch the required number of birds without stopping.
• This role will also require you to travel to various chicken farms throughout the night.
• At the end of each night or prior to your night starting the Forklift must be washed with a hi pressure water sprayer to remove dirt etc as Bio Security is extremely important and must be maintained
• Equipment provided: -A near new Isuzu fully automatic flatbed truck with beaver tail and hydraulic loading ramps is provided along with 2 All Terrain 625 Manitou Telehandler forklifts, 1 will go with you each night with the other Manitou kept as a spare or a backup if required.
• Remuneration: - A 3-month trial period will be offered to the successful applicant. During the trial period a weekly wage of $1800 per week less tax and super will be paid and will increase to $2000 per week after the trial period. You will work unsupervised.
• What you must have: - You are required to have a valid South Australian HR Drivers Licence as a minimum to be able to drive the truck. A valid South Australian High Performance Forklift Licence is required to drive the forklift.
