Australia's premier space industry event - the 17th Australian Space Forum - kicked off at Adelaide Convention Centre yesterday, bringing together the best and brightest from Australia's space industry and around the world 🚀

Hosted by The Andy Thomas Space Foundation and supported by the Australian Space Agency and South Australian Space Industry Centre, the forum provides a platform to stimulate ideas, share information about emerging technologies, and network with influential space sector leaders and the broader community.

It’s always a great honour to host this event, not to mention a wonderful showcase and celebration of South Australia’s global leadership in this sector and our innovative space ecosystem!

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June). We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of the land where we work and gather, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

This morning, we were honoured to play host to the 2024 National Reconciliation Week Breakfast - presented by Reconciliation South Australia. Marking the the launch of National Reconciliation Week here in South Australia, the event drew a packed house with over 2,800 guests in attendance to hear from an array of speakers on this year’s theme ‘Now More Than Ever’, and enjoy a series of impressive performances.

Throwback to an exclusive private dining experience that welcomed over 100 guests for lunch in our main kitchen here at Adelaide Convention Centre! 🍴

The creativity of our talented kitchen team certainly knows no limit, as they transformed the kitchen into a dining room setting for the lunchtime experience, before converting it back into full operational mode to serve dinner for 2,000 guests that evening.

It was a pleasure to play host to the Adelaide International Women's Day (IWD) Breakfast this morning – the largest of its kind in Australia! 💜

Hosted by Senator Penny Wong, alongside guest speaker Annabel Crabb and MC Sonya Feldhoff, the event saw over 3,000 guests attend in-person, including members of our team, with more tuning in virtually from across our State.

This year’s theme ‘Count her in: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress’ celebrates not only the remarkable achievements of women but also their resilience, strength and grace - a theme we actively embrace at Adelaide Convention Centre each and every day.

Flashback to Variety SA's annual 'Variety Ball', held here at Adelaide Convention Centre last weekend. Themed 'Once Upon A Time', this year's event saw over 1,800 guests transported into a magical world of imagination to raise vital funds for Variety SA's grants program - funding experiences and equipment for children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability here in South Australia.
