I'd like to thank all of those who have supported the podcast and also the Yax Presents parties this year. These events probably wouldn't have been possible without creating this platform in 2021 to showcase underground techno not just in Australia but around the world, as it continues to do so.

For this week’s Substantiv mix we present Yax. Yax is a techno DJ from Adelaide, Australia. His style is continuously evolving throughout the years, but he maintains a focus on deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets. Whilst maintaining a presence in the scene in Adelaide by organizing his first Yax Presents rave in March and recently his first 'Paranoia' night at Sugar Night Club, Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. Be sure to check it out on his Soundcloud page. In this mix, you can hear a variety old and new tracks, focusing on expressing an energetic and hypnotic vibe throughout the hour.
