At the very end of 2023 our beautiful girl arrived healthy and screaming into this world. Her name is Rowan Amber or Rowie for short and she is the centre of our universe. 💓

We are settling into newborn life well but please be patient with us the next few weeks on email. If anything is urgent please call or text my phone.

Thanks to help from epic talented freelancers and we have several beautiful weddings at the start of 2024 we can’t wait to create for!

The Lost Florist’s books are closed for further events until October 2024. We are still slinging out custom quotes for the 24/25 season so please get in touch to lock in your date! Also, as per usual, I like to support other fantastic SA florists when I’m not available, so reach out and I can make recommendations.

The 'Olive leaf theme' traveled throughout the wedding flowers for N & A. In their personal flowers, their ceremony (in a legit olive tree orchard, no less) and we continued it to their reception where their guests dined under large olive branch 'trees' 🌱

Texture on texture on texture for Lucy’s bouquet.

Sometimes it’s that tiny seed pod with a crooked stem or tendril with *just* the right curve to it that gives me the most joy. And anything that has movement (‘wiggle’!) when you walk down the aisle.

I am fascinated by the way plants and flowers grow in the wild. Long walks in my Adelaide Hills neighbourhood always leave me inspired, be it the colour of a new leaf after a long winter, the texture of yellow lichen clinging to bark or the pattern the wild grasses make in the field as they ripple in the wind.

I try to honour nature by choosing ingredients that are true to the season, and celebrate ‘imperfections’ like bent and curved flower stems, wild branches of foliage and asymmetrical, natural designs.

Nature knows best, after all.

Re-purposing your ceremony flowers - if there was anyone who likes re-purposing ceremony flowers more than me it's Emily ! She expertly re-configures floral elements from the ceremony around your reception which is a cost-effective way to have more decoration at your reception. Plus, we feel sad when the ceremony flowers are only enjoyed for a short hour of the day!
