The festival is more than just a culinary event; it's a vibrant celebration of compassion, community, and heartfelt warmth. At the heart of the festival is the remarkable journey of Ms Teresa Tran, co-founder of Asia Oasis. During her travels through northern Vietnam, she encountered resilient young women passionately selling fresh ingredients and snacks along the winding mountain highway while tenderly caring for their young children. Their unwavering dedication to supporting their families deeply resonated with her, and we hope it resonates with you, too. This vivid and emotional tableau forms the soul of the festival, infusing it with a unique atmosphere of how food relates to human love for each other. Asia Oasis is currently looking for skilled buskers of various genres and talented individuals or groups of performers with a strong traditional performing arts heritage to take part in our exciting Asia Oasis Street Food Festival. The festival will be held from Friday, 29 November to Sunday, 1 December 2024, at Pinky Flat in North Adelaide.

Our festival aims to celebrate traditional as well as contemporary artistic skills that have evolved over the years. We invite you to share your traditional and modern dances, singing, instruments, and costumes, taking us through major historical milestones.

Additionally, Asia Oasis is in search of several MCs for the performing arts program during the festival.

Candidates should possess the following attributes:

Are you ready? ASIA STREET FOOD FESTIVAL is officially kicking off tomorrow. Location: Pinky Flat, North Adelaide, next to Adelaide Oval, by the River Torrens. Thursday 14th, from 5PM till late Friday 15 to Sunday 17, from 11AM till late. Let's take a look at the journey through a year of bringing festivals to the heart of Adelaide! From the CBD's Pinky Flat to the iconic ocean backdrop of Glenelg and the northern charm of Golden Grove, our Asia Street Food Festival is a celebration of community and culture. Join us from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 December for an authentic experience and festive spirit, featuring over 200 dishes, a vibrant lineup of performances, fruit tasting, and dragon boat racing. Immerse yourself under the charming light of Hoi An Lanterns set against the village setting of Bali-style huts. Let's transport Adelaide to the vibrant streets of Asia! **Important Note: This is a cashless event. However, you can purchase food and drink vouchers with cash, which can be used at all stalls in our venues.
