We at ironjaw bookings would once again like to thank all of those who attended the first southern death fest. It could not have been as successful as it was without the help of all of you and those involved throughout the day.

But with good news, comes some unfortunate conversations that must be had.

As stated in our last post; your issues or complaints are being addressed. We've had numerous reports of a group of individuals who were excessively violent in the pit(s) throughout the day. (And at some of our other events).

We understand that this is a form of expression (moshing /dancing and not general violence), and do not wish to take this away from people. But this must be done responsibly, to ensure the safety of those around you. Weve hosted many events in the past where people were not injured and were able to enjoy themselves. Southern death fest (despite its name) should have been no different.

Our events host a diverse range of people, of all age groups, from many different backgrounds. The safety and enjoyment of ALL is our top priority. We encourage people to have fun and enjoy themselves, but not to put the safety of others at risk. Its not hard, we've seen many events like this (and hosted a few ourselves) where everyone was able to have fun.

It is due to the above, that anyone caught jeopardising the safety of any of our patrons in the future, will be asked to leave our events. No additional warnings will be made as this is the last of them. This will be a permanent and final decision too. Repeat offenders will not be tolerated.

For those of you who attend our events, if you ever feel unsafe then please come and find us or speak to security as this is what we/they are here for.

We'd like to offer our sincerest of apologies to those who felt victimised by said individuals at our last event. Once again, your enjoyment and safety is our highest concern.

As for now, we're going to continue putting on some amazing shows for you, as we've got a lot in the works.

Our shows will always lean towards our goal of bridging the gap between heavy and alternative music genres. We understand that there can be issues when world's collide. But this does not need to be the case.
We've spent a decent amount of time now trying to establish a healthy and safe community and do not wish to see it tarnished by a few bad eggs. And we will continue to do so. We thank you for your understanding.

Thanks to the many hundreds of people who came out to make the first ever SOUTHERN DEATH FEST a success. it was a long day, a tiring day but an amazing day to say the least.

We've spent the last 18 months building up our gig/ event portfolio, fanbase and industry connections - and believe now is the best time to share what we've been working on with you.

Alongside Michael Ironjaw Strife (founder / lead bookings) and Lachlan Odell (lead art/media & bookings assistance) - We extend a warm welcome to Will Colenso-Wallace, who will be handling our new venture - band management!
