What are your expectations?
What's included? What's Not?
What happens if you get sick?
Do you have a cancellation policy?
How far do you travel?
Do you follow a strict guideline or is there room for flexibility?
Can we have friends or family members participate?

These are some of the most common questions I get asked. Don't be afraid to make a list of questions! It's better to be well informed then not enough.

Autumn is fast approaching and I find this time of year a beautiful season for weddings. The air is fresh and crisp and skies are blue. I wanted to search for what was trending for Autumn colours this year. This is not an extensive list by any means, but here are a few for anyone who may be stuck with colour combinations:

A beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. I had the honour of conducting A and M’s wedding ceremony on 5.3.22! I also had the absolute pleasure of participating in a hand fastening ritual. It was a beautiful way to symbolise the couple and include family members too!

Saturday just passed, I had the absolute delight and pleasure in marrying these two beautiful people. It was a very relaxed affair with many laughs and even a spot of ice cream just before the ceremony! Situated in a lovely park overlooking the ocean. It was quite a busy scene with many people hustling and bustling and sailing in the distance. But on dry land it was a more cosy affair with close family and friends to watch these two love birds unite with their proud children looking on. Congratulations T&A may your love last a lifetime!

The first dance! Once of the most memorable parts of your wedding day and a time where your guests can revel in on your love and happiness. In the past, the most common dance routine was a bridal waltz. Over the June long weekend this year. I was at Blackpoint with my family and we participated in what's called a Worker's Bee where we help the local community remove dead scrub/trees and plant new trees. As I was planting these new trees, it got me thinking about weddings. For me, planting a new tree is like planting a new life. The tree is planted in the soil with a protective barrier around it and watered with strong hopes that the tree will grow. For me, weddings are like trees. You meet your soul mate and over time with love, care and kindness that relationship grows into something beautiful. You have your family and friends that support you, care about you and encourage you to create a life that is yours. To be a marriage celebrant and be part of a couple's wedding is truly the best thing in the world. ❤🌳
