Lesley and Shirley, two absolutely amazing and talented women, decided after 30 plus years together, that it was time to tie the knot! The beautiful St Francis Winery at Reynella was their chosen venue, and it was certainly a special way for Shirley to celebrate a milestone birthday! Joined by close family and friends, their ceremony, which included the lighting of a Unity Candle, was rich with meaning and significance. Their vows were so special and poignant and I have every confidence they will live their life together honouring them. Following the ceremony, more guests arrived to join in Shirley's birthday celebrations and discover a marriage took place earlier! I have known Lesley professionally for many years so it was truly a privilege to get to know Shirley and to have been their celebrant. Lesley and Shirley, may your life together continue to be filled with love and laughter, wisdom, and wonder. Best wishes always.

The world is a small place! Jessica posted a Facebook message stating she was looking for a marriage celebrant, and since I was available on her chosen date, I responded. I had an inkling that I knew her, so a couple of questions later, we established her father was the groomsman in my own wedding 33 years ago, and I had known Jessica as a small child! It was so lovely to reconnect after all these years and to be the one to marry her and Daniel, her soul mate, or 'man-child' as she calls him. A beautiful February day, stunning venue at Ekhidna wines and an amazing young couple, the day could be nothing other than perfect! Jess and Daniel, thank you so much for giving me the absolute honour of being your celebrant. I wish you every happiness, and I know you will have a long and happy future together because you are simply remarkable and unstoppable, not to mention perfectly suited! Congratulations!

Celebrating a 30th Birthday is one thing, add in an engagement party is another thing, and then top it off with a wedding all on the same day is a whole new level of excitement and memories! Kelsey and Mark meticulously planned a party in February 2021 to celebrate Kelsey's birthday and their engagement. Little did their friends know this was also their wedding reception. Kelsey and Mark had married earlier in the afternoon before immediate family and witnesses in beautiful Veale Gardens. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony, just as they planned it to be. Photography by TandG Studio really captured the happiness of the occasion and the love this couple have for each other. It was so easy to work with Kelsey and Mark....so organised and relaxed! It is always so rewarding to have a bride say "Thank you so much! It was exactly how we wanted it, it was amazing!!! ###". What an absolute honour to have been Amie and Nick's celebrant. This gorgeous couple have hearts of gold and their kindness and generosity towards others is incredibly beautiful and moving. They chose to marry before their families and friends and their two loveable fur babies at picturesque Ivybrook Farm at Maslin Beach in March. They say their ceremony was "perfectly them". The love this couple have for each other is phenomenal and they truly are "meant to be". Their love story and heartfelt vows brought many tears, but also laughter, and having their grand mothers sign the marriage documents completely confirms how precious and important family is to them. I wish them a lifetime of love, happiness and special moments.

I have always been a believer in fate, and Andrzej (Andrew) and Eva are proof that fate steps in and guides our path. Having known each other as teenagers and then losing touch, this beautiful couple tied the knot at the picturesque Kellermeister Winery, Lyndoch in December 2020 after reconnecting in a dentists waiting room in 2017! Andrew and Eva have a mutual interest and enjoyment of good wine, so this fun and romantic ceremony included a wine box ritual. Their guests were only too willing to write well wishes, marriage advice and heartfelt messages on cards that were sealed in the box, along with Eva and Andrew's marriage vows and a bottle of wine. Andrew and Eva plan to open the box on their 1st wedding anniversary and re-read their vows and read the messages from guests while enjoying the bottle of wine. Andrew and Eva, thank you so much for choosing me as your celebrant; I wish you every happiness for a long and happy future! ❤

Jade and Trina surprised their guests by getting married at their 'Engagement Party' at the end of January! There were a few guests who couldn't work out why Trina was so late arriving...little did they know she had forgotten her flowers and had to turn around and head back home to get them! All worked out in the end and Trina and Jade married in the Old Willunga Courthouse grounds. Such a relaxed and beautiful setting for this couple who are so smitten with each other. It was a beautiful family affair with their children present, along with family and friends who were so happy to see them marry. Thank you so much Trina and Jade for choosing me as your celebrant. It was wonderful getting to know you both and writing a ceremony that was so personal and meaningful to you.

Adam and Aislinn chose a perfect warm day for a wedding at the picturesque Pine Park Reserve in Tea Tree Gully. This beautiful couple were a casualty of the 3 day "circuit breaker" lock-down in November 2020, but with stoic resilience, they rescheduled and enjoyed their day in January 2021. Sun shining, family and friends smiling and a very happy couple finally "Tying the knot" with a hand-fasting ceremony. It was great to hear the guests thought the idea of selecting their witnesses by pulling names out of a hat was a fun and novel idea. The surprised witnesses were certainly thrilled to sign the documents! Such a wonderful and easy going couple, celebrating another milestone in their lives. Adam and Aislinn, it was such a pleasure to have been your celebrant and I am so delighted you loved your ceremony. You are such a fantastic couple and I wish you every happiness in the future. xx

Adrian and Sam were set to marry in May 2020, but they rescheduled to October in the hope COVID restrictions allowed them to have their nearest and dearest celebrate with them. The wind may have been icy, icy cold for their rescheduled day, but the love and warmth that radiated from, and for, Adrian and Sam, was felt by all. Ivybrook Farm in Maslins Beach was the perfect setting for Adrian and Sam......just beautiful with a few kangaroos looking on! Adrian and Sam, you are genuine soul mates, a truly beautiful couple with hearts of gold. I thank you for placing your trust in me. You were the very first couple I met with as I was nearing the completion of my Celebrant course, and I was so thrilled you trusted a newbie! I wish you both every happiness for a long, happy, loving and healthy future!

A perfect day, a picturesque setting and a beautiful couple. What more could I have asked for? Mario and Tara certainly are a beautiful couple, madly in love and so calm! It was wonderful to have been their chosen celebrant and be a part of the wedding they dreamed of having...a small intimate affair in October 2020. The ceremony was romantic and sincere....with a splash of humour which helped everyone relax! Thank you so much Mario and Tara .....it was such a privilege! I wish you every happiness for a long and loving future. The Adelaide Botanic Gardens is a pristine and beautiful setting, and the Sunken Garden was the perfect spot for this ceremony. The staff at the Botanic Gardens were amazing and Maria https://www.shotsbym.com/ was such an easy, non-intrusive photographer and, as you can see from the photos, captured some beautiful and memorable shots.

It was such a pleasure to be Jamie and Lucy's celebrant in April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, it was beautiful and intimate affair with just the 5 of us....in a picturesque rose garden with the cows looking on! It was far from the original plan of a beautiful big wedding with family and friends present, but the love they have for each other underpinned their decision to push forward and get married regardless. Not even a pandemic was going to stop them! So wonderful to see it happen for this beautiful couple! I wish them a beautiful, long and happy life together.

I was absolutely honored to be the celebrant for Mark and Shana on the weekend and must give a shout out to Anthony and his staff at Sneaky's who were amazing to work with - so accommodating, Dan the videographer (complete with drone) from Lacey Productions - he was absolutely fantastic and Jacky from Photography by Jacqualyne who was so easy to work with and so unobtrusive....didn't even notice she was working her magic! This is an exquisite venue. Highly recommend!
