This weekend of competition had all teams in action and some positive results across the board. Well done to everyone who represented the club.

Simpson Cup – Defeated Tea Tree Gully 6-1 at home
Sanderson Cup – Lost to The Grange 1.5-3.5 at home
Sharp Cup – Lost to Blackwood 1-4 at Blackwood
Junior Div 2 – Lost to Westward Ho 0-5 at Westward Ho
Pike Cup – Defeated Kooyonga 5-0 at home
Bonnar Cup – Lost to Tea Tree Gully 3-4 at Tea Tree Gully
Women's A3 – Lost to The Vines 0-5 at The Vines
Women's Cleek 2 – Defeated The Vines 3.5-1.5 at North Adelaide

Exciting news for Glenelg Golf Club! Congratulations to Grace Ferrier and Jack Leonard on their selection to represent South Australia in the Junior Interstate Teams Matches at Brookwater Golf and Country Club in Queensland from 14 to 17 April.

This is Grace’s first time being selected in the state squad, while Jack earns his second selection after previously representing South Australia in 2024.

We look forward to seeing them in action and wish them all the best.

Congratulations to Jacob Lewis on achieving a hole in one on the 19th hole on 7th March.

The 19th hole, a temporary par 3 in play due to course works, provided the perfect setting for this impressive feat.

Congratulations to Morrie Croucher on a hole in one on the 14th hole on 6th March!

A stunning par 3, the 14th is often played down breeze, demanding a well-struck tee shot to hold the undulating green. A steep drop over the back makes recovery difficult, while bunkers short and left add to the challenge. The right side offers a larger turf runoff, but an up-and-down from there can be tricky depending on the pin position. Surrounded by native sandy heath, water, and towering pines, this hole is a true reflection of the course’s character.

Saturday, 8 March is International Women’s Day—a perfect opportunity to celebrate the inspirational women who are part of Glenelg Golf Club.

As the first club in South Australia to sign the Women in Golf Charter, Glenelg is proud to have 263 female members, representing nearly 20% of total membership—well above the national average. The Women’s Try Golf program continues to thrive, welcoming players of all skill levels, while Junior Golf membership is also growing, with female participation at 19.5%, compared to the national average of 13.8%.

The Club remains committed to increasing female participation and leadership in golf, reinforcing its dedication to .

The 14th hole at Glenelg Golf Club looks stunning in the afternoon light, with the perfect blend of natural beauty and course design.

Our Junior Division 2 team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Royal Adelaide at home.

The Simpson Cup side fell just short, losing 3-4 to Kooyonga at Tea Tree Gully.

Bonnar Cup was unsuccessful against Royal Adelaide, going down 1.5-5.5 at home.

Junior Sharp Cup also faced a tough contest, narrowly losing 2-3 to Royal Adelaide.

Well done to all players for their efforts. On to the next round.

How wonderful was our Family Christmas Night on Sunday, 15 December! It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the water slides, face painting, delicious food, and the movie under the stars after dinner. A big thank you to all who joined us and made it such a memorable evening!
