Four teams competed in pennant over the weekend, with three playing at home and one away. Results will be posted tomorrow—stay tuned.

On Tuesday, 4th February, 127 women participated in a fantastic Women's Minda Inc. golf day at Glenelg Golf Club, with 76 members and 51 visitors from other clubs joining the competition.

Despite the hot conditions and minimal breeze in the morning, players showcased great skill and perseverance on the course. Following the round, participants gathered in the Clubhouse for a well-earned lunch, providing an opportunity to relax and socialise.

The Committee extends its sincere appreciation to Woodstock Wine for their generous donation, which contributed to the success of the event.

Tony achieved an incredible hole-in-one on the 11th hole on Wednesday, 29th January! To top it off, he also claimed the Pro Shop jackpot, which can only be won by making a hole-in-one on a Wednesday.

The 11th is one of the toughest par-3s at Glenelg, rising up Pine Hill to one of the largest natural dunes in the Adelaide Plains. A truly unforgettable shot on a truly memorable hole!

We’re excited to welcome Adam Fry as our new Assistant Course Superintendent at Glenelg Golf Club.

Adam brings over 18 years of experience, including roles at The Grange and most recently at Kooyonga Golf Club as Assistant Course Superintendent for 12 years, an internship at St Andrews, and volunteering at the 2016 World Cup of Golf and 2019 Presidents Cup.

In the Womens Try Golf Beginner/ New to Golf clinics our coaches Connor Chant, Ryan Reavley and Adam Bland will guide you through some basic fundamentals of golf over the course of 4 sessions with the final session on course followed by drinks and nibbles in the clubhouse.

Intermediate Clinics
In the Womens Try Golf Intermediate clinics our coaches Connor Chant, Ryan Reavley and Adam Bland will help will help with advanced skills like bunkers, shots/ club selection to help go alongside more on-course play over a 6 week program which finishes with social drinks and nibbles in the clubhouse.

This great opportunity allows ladies to learn golf in a relaxed, comfortable environment whilst socialising and having fun!

Holes 8 & 9 Update

Week 3 of course development is underway!

-27 Athel Pines removed along James Melrose boundary; will be replanted 2:1 with Native Pines, Drooping Sheoaks & Non-native Pines.
-Retaining wall work continues at the 9th green.
-110mm irrigation mainline installed along the 8th fairway.
-1,400m² of turf relocated to improve fairways 8 & 9.

Golf Australia SA Junior Amateur – Day 1 Results

The SA Junior Amateur Championship commenced on Monday, 13th January, at Kooyonga Golf Club.

Jack Leonard is off to a strong start, finishing Day 1 tied for 1st place with rounds of 72 and 73, resulting in a total score of 145.

Leonard is set to tee off in Round 3 today, joined by fellow junior Members Anthony Wang, Indie Danger, Kyle Feltus and Grace Ferrier.

Glenelg Golf Club’s junior program is thriving with 100 junior members! Our 24/25 Junior Development Day, held on Sunday 22nd December, brought together 35 juniors for a day of fun, learning, and competition, led by Adam Bland, Ryan Reavley, and Connor Chant.

The day kicked off with excitement as juniors received PING Golf Australia caps, Titleist golf balls, and ball marker packs. The morning clinic featured group putting games, pitching, and full-swing stations, helping juniors sharpen their skills. After lunch, the experienced players hit the course for an 18-hole competition, battling windy but sunny conditions for prizes, including a Ping golf bag.

It was a fantastic day fostering skills, friendships, and love for the game!
