So amazing to be a part of this day

CAZ + PHIL ✨ 08.05.2021 ✨ Every wedding is special, but being able to be part of one of your oldest friends’ big day, well that’s just something else! Caz + Phil wanted their wedding day to scream “THEM”. Having known Caz for almost 30 years + Phil for almost 10, to me that meant the most fun party, bursting with vibrant colour, a few quirks [enter the family sword for cake cutting to ‘Chariots of Fire’], one hell of a dance floor + so many smiles, laughs + hugs that every guests body would literally be aching from love the next day! I’m so honoured to call these two beautiful souls my friends + thankful beyond words that they trusted me help sprinkle some extra magic on their day! ✨

Far out, Josh and Harmony nailed their wedding.

All killer and no filler.

My advice for people is to ALWAYS focus on what is important to them and spend their time, focus and budget on that first and last.

Within moments of getting that engagement ring, Harmony was sliding into DMs to check her dates because her style of photography and, ya know, as a human.

The ceremony and flow of the evening was really important too, to create a personal ceremony with a massive vibe. So they got the inimitable as their celebrant and MC to do just that.

Josh was a professional DJ and so the tunes were really important to him. They didn’t want any traditional wedding music but wanted all the guests to have a great time and the music had to reflect on their own taste AND create a great vibe to work in with Kristina and Cribbes.

It’s always a privilege to DJ for other DJs because I know what it’s like when I go out and the DJ ain’t getting It right. DIY lobotomy time.

I’m so passionate about my peeps getting the right team together because we literally can’t knock it out of the park without each other.

Kristina has the vibe high before the ceremony even started, Cribbes nailed the ceremony and passed the vibe onto their family and friends.
Fun photo shoots, food and freely flowing wine with some good tunes and speeches naturally progresses to a packed dancefloor.

Caroline and Phil wanted lots of dancing and zero cheesy “wedding” tunes last Saturday.

A lot of DJs will tell you that it can’t be done but that’s really not true, here’s how to do it....

1. Book a great venue with amazing food and booze-a-flowin’ - ala

2. Get great music before the ceremony even starts, set the mood - ala

3. Get a great celebrant like

Honestly, it’s the most overlooked wedding vendor because most people don’t realise they are your emotional support before the day and set the tone for the entire wedding night.
Your celebrant should leave your guests emotionally-horny.

I just made that up.

4. Vet your guest list and only invite people that will make your wedding better.
Cut the family list down and bump up the friends list.

Blame it on C*VID 😋

5. Get people involved to take care of things on the day so you don’t have to stress, get a dog sitter or a nanny for kids or get a planner like Caz and Phil did with Dani at .events who triple checked everything before/during/after so that they could be on the D-floor and present with their guests all night

6. Get someone chilled with great banter like as your photographer/videographer, they will be around all day and they’re the Goose to your Maverick.

7. Cut down the formalities. Keep the ones that are important to you and turf the rest.
Phil has a family sword, so best believe there was a cake cutting.
They left time for a three hour dancefloor and honestly it could have gone another 3 hours with this crew

8. Get a great DJ who knows how to rock a party.
If you don’t want traditional wedding music then you need to find someone that isn’t a traditional boring AF wedding DJ

9. Most importantly, enjoy your time with your friends and family like & - life is short, make the most of it ❤️
