We all know and love the Regal Theatre, but did you know this 99-year-old gem hides a few secrets?

🎨 Behind both sides of the theatre's curtain, remnants of the original mural can be seen, including plasterwork dating back to 1925.
🚶 The handrails on the lobby stairs are asymmetrical - this is due to the old candy bar being located outside the now-entrance of the Ladies bathroom, which required one of the handrails to be cut short at the time.
🎻 A grate revealing the old orchestra pit from the 1920s is still visible on the Regal's faux stage, as orchestral music was originally played live to accompany silent films when the theatre first opened.

We are very excited to be partnering with Pirate Life Brewing to support South Australian filmmaking and showcase a screening of PACO, the new surrealist comedy by comedy duo tim&TIM!

In PACO, sound recordist Manny embarks on a whimsical journey throughout Adelaide on a quest to locate an actress who has fled their film set before removing her radio mic. Armed with only his recording gear, Manny sets out to track the radio signal in order to find the actress and retrieve the device – all before succumbing to the dire consequences of the mysterious and sinister Sound Council.

PACO is a charming sonic odyssey that prompts contemplation about the intricate ways in which sound shapes our cinematic experiences.
