Macedonian Folkloric Ensemble (MFE) Sloboda is a Macedonian Folkloric Dance Organisation based in Adelaide, which seeks to honour and promote the traditional songs and dance of Macedonia. Over our 40 year history MFE Sloboda has continued to participate in various cultural events and functions where we express the Macedonian cultural heritage through a unique form of traditional art. This organisa

tion welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to participate, and has a keen interest to engage with a variety of ethnic organisations across Australia.

The 2024 MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL is on Sunday 24 November from 12-6pm in Tarntanyangga/Victoria Square, Adelaide. It's a free, fun-filled, family-friendly day out where you can experience the world's cultures, right in the heart of Adelaide.

Try amazing food, discover traditional music, watch a range of performances, learn about different languages and cultures, and join in on fun activities for people of all ages, all in one place.

- Pita (finely rolled savory pastries Croatian style)

History was made today as our ensemble participated in the southern hemisphere’s largest parade, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, South Australia! 🇦🇺

Consistent leadership, passion and persistence leads to historic events!

We wore traditional Macedonian costumes and paraded in front of 325,000 smiling spectators, as part of the ‘Shaping Our Wonderful World’ float with Multicultural Affairs SA.

It was highly significant for us that we carried a banner with our name on it - and “Среќни Божиќни Празници” - “Seasons Greetings” in the Macedonian language, and in the Cyrillic alphabet 🇲🇰

Thank you to both the pageant organisers and the team at Multicultural Affairs for inviting us, and for your hospitality!

And a BIG thank you to all of our family and friends who came along today to support, and for sending through all your photos and videos!

AMFE Sloboda Seniors - Ilinden Performance 2024

Our Senior Performing Group took the audience on a short journey throughout Macedonia at this weekend’s Ilinden celebrations! The group proudly showcased a medley of dances inspired by the National Ensemble for Macedonian Song & Dance, TANEC including: • Žetvarka • Pirinsko Proletno Cveke • Zensko Berance • Crnogorka We hope you all enjoyed our performance! 😃🇲🇰

AMFE Sloboda Juniors - Ilinden performance 2024

This weekend at our community’s Ilinden celebrations, our Junior group opened the show with their performance to the traditional sounds of “Narodno Oro” by Pece Atanasovski & “Oro Se Vie, Mamo” by Stefce Stojkovski. We congratulate our youngest ensemble members who lit up the hall as they performed and were encouraged and supported by their audience! ⭐️ Here are the highlights! 🎬

Yesterday our littlest Sloboda members - Dana, Ilina and Luka brought such beautiful smiles to the stage when they joined us for “Gledaj Oro Bre Mome”, a song from the village of Dedino - Radovish, Macedonia. The Gajda music was recorded for us by the amazing Linsey Pollak 😍

*NEW* We are excited to announce the formation of our new Adelaide Macedonian Vocal Group - “SEDENKA”. “Sedenka” is a space where we honour our Macedonian culture by learning and performing traditional Macedonian songs. Contact us if you’re interested in joining - open to all ages.
