I am very greatful to be at the stage of my celebrant life where referrals make up majority of my business. Today was a celebration of connection. The amazing story that is Alex and Tom, and the fact that 2 past couples were present at today's ceremony. My smile was big, my eyes were constantly watering and my heart was full. Alex and Tom, "what you accomplished today was no small feat" your story has amazed me this far, and I'm certain you have many more fun filled adventures ahead. Ive said it once and ill say it again....high school friends weddings are the best kind of weddings! We battled wind, we battled double knots and a missing bouquet but we did it! On a foggy and grey morning, nestled in the corner of McLaren Vale, the beautiful was the venue where Rob and Michelle chose to start their weekend (and married life) bright and early! This one had it all folks, amazing open air chappel, rustic photo opportunities for days....laughter, smiles, plenty of tears and after years of witnessing best men and grooms "pretending" to forget the rings... today it happened for real! But....it all adds to the beautifully unique and charmingly charismatic nature that posses today's bride and groom. Hello lovlies, it's been a minute. I wanted to post something that as a celebrant, I get asked a lot. Let's talk R.E.H.E.R.S.A.L.S. Are they needed? What's involved and what part do I play?? Now...first and foremost, as my motto suggests, it's YOUR special day, it will be YOUR way! So... every couples needs and wants are different. So as part of my tailored service that I offer, if YOU want me there....I'm there! Are they essential to your day? Not at all! We can thank American rom coms for planting the "rehersal dinner" seeds in our heads, but it's really not an essential part in the lead up when brides and grooms are already stressed and time poor. However...if you have chosen a venue that may have difficult parking, more than one ceremony location options and are unsure of the music timing to walk down the aisle, then making time for a rehersal to iron out some of those details is always a good idea, and thats exactly what we did today!
This is just one element of the things that a good celebrant discusses with you at your first meeting, in order to work out what's important to YOU and to eliminate as much stress for YOU as we possibly can .
Let's hope Saturdays big day runs just as smoothly as today did. ###

What a day!! What a venue!! What a couple!! Today had it all. A stunning set up, beautiful keyboard music, and a heartfelt and humorous ceremony to boot...if I don't say so myself!! These highschool sweethearts giggled their way through their "I dos" today and being you've been laughing together for nearly a decade.....why wouldn't you start married life the same way. Hello beautiful people. So after being on socials for many years, I have recorded my first opsy daisy! I commented on a family members post, accidentally using my celebrabt account, and I used the B word! This was flagged as bullying and or harassment and so, long story short, my instagram account has been temporarily disabled. Now we all know I'm partial to a pre ceremony selfie or two.....but occasionally someone like the amazing Your Event Plannery] captures me mid ceremony.....and when it looks this good, I ain't mad at it. The stunning pulled out all the stops to make sure the hall sparkled for Ryan and Caitlyn to say I do, and they did, laughing, crying and giggling the whole time! Was so nice to do a wedding at Drovers Run today....oops, I mean kingsford homestead!! Haha. I'd heard how beautiful it was but seeing it first hand was kind of amazing....matched only by the beauty of my spectacularly lovely bride and groom. We had to combat some wind....but that was no match for this heartfelt and genuine ceremony full of laughs and love. Congratulations Laura and Dylan.
