Conveniently located opposite the Adelaide Botanical Gardens, Observatory 23 is a venue where you can celebrate your wedding day in true style.

With a glass of sparkling on arrival and a showcase of Adelaide’s best wedding suppliers, we have everything you need to kick start your wedding planning.

You will also get the opportunity to sample our thoughtfully crafted menu and beverage packages, while enjoying a variety of live entertainment.

Your Say Group is undergoing a significant expansion, and we have both full-time and casual opportunities across our portfolio of venues for experienced hospitality professionals to contribute to a great South Australian success story.

Hotel Duty Manager – Full Time - $73K + Super
The Griffins Hotel is one of Adelaide’s landmark hotels, with a popular restaurant, five function spaces and gaming. The Hotel Duty Manager will be available across a seven-day roster with predominantly evening shifts. The role will suit a candidate with the following attributes, skills and qualifications:
• Excellent a la carte and functions background
• Strong beverage knowledge, including cocktail making skills and wine
appreciation
• The ability to motivate, train and lead a diverse group of staff
• Responsible Person and Gaming Manager qualifications
• Can work unsupervised and enjoys taking the initiative to maintain and improve
service standards and product offering
• Understanding of hospitality IT systems such as POS, online booking systems and Functions CRM

Functions Supervisor – Full Time - $73K + Super
With four exciting function venues to deliver, the Functions Supervisor will work across a range of functions from day meetings to weddings and everything in between. The role will involve all aspects of the event process including client liaison, function ex*****on and logistics. Attention to detail is a must!
The successful candidate will:
• Have at least two years of experience in a fast-paced functions environment
• Be able to work to a flexible, seven-day roster depending upon requirements
• Be physically fit
• Enjoy both working alone and leading teams where required
• Have a Responsible Person qualification
• Have excellent personal presentation
• Have either barista or cocktail making skills
• Possess strong knowledge of hospitality IT systems such as POS and Functions
CRM

Venue Supervisor – Full Time – $59K + Super
Our newest venue, Vault 91, is a café, wine bar and functions venue based in the centre of the CBD. Open Monday to Friday, Vault 91 also offers office catering services and provides a gathering place for a building with over 2,500 tenants and employees.
Your Say Group is seeking an energetic, skilled and customer-centric Venue Supervisor with the following attributes:
• Excellent cafe and functions background
• Barista skills, including at least two years of experience in a busy café
environment
• Strong beverage knowledge, including cocktail making skills and wine
appreciation – WSET qualifications will be highly regarded
• The ability to motivate, train and lead a diverse group of staff
• Responsible Person qualification
• Enjoys driving service standards and product offering
• Knowledge of rostering, booking and functions software

Barista – Casual – HIGA Award rates + Super
Based at Vault 91 but supporting functions operations across all Your Say Group Venues, this role will work to a predominantly Monday to Friday roster in the CBD.
You will have:
• Excellent cafe and functions background
• Barista skills, including at least two years of experience in a busy café
environment
• Strong beverage knowledge, including cocktail making skills and wine
appreciation – WSET qualifications will be highly regarded
• Pride in your presentation and customer service

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening Luncheon for Observatory 23 yesterday. In particular, we're grateful for the words of The Hon. Andrea Michaels MP , Minister for Small and Family Business; Ian Whitworth, author, business blogger and general raconteur; the gentlemen responsible for the revitalisation of Halls Soft Drinks (which were enjoyed by everyone), Peter and Cam Ballard; and Kelly Noble , digital media entrepreneur and one of SA's great advocates. Our MC Tom Rehn was polished as always - thanks Tom!
We hope that everyone enjoyed the menu presented by our Executive Chef Luke Brabin , with the assistance of so many of our SA small business partners - Tony & Mark's, Thomas Foods International, Cheese Culture, International Oyster & Seafoods Mybutcher and Barossa Fine Foods.
Thanks also to Yalumba, The Lane Vineyard, CW Wines, Coopers and Lion Beverages for their delicious drinks and ongoing support.
Last but certainly not least, you can see the great work done by Nick Waterman and the team at Scene Change , and the venue presentation organised by Olivia Bryant.
We're looking forward to the opportunity to host a range of exciting events in our latest space!
