Well that’s a wrap everybody!! The caretakers have done their duty according to the constitution and the last AGM and we have handed over the building to Rembrandt Living We sincerely hope they put it to good use for their aged care programs and wish them all the best for the future!
It has been a very sad few weeks for all of us but we know in our hearts that we have done our best! Thank you to everyone for their best wishes 🧡🧡

Thank you to all those who attended our last AGM today. The committee of the Dutch Social and Welfare Club Inc. has now been dissolved and the former President, Secretary and Treasurer will act as caretakers as we wind up operations, until we formally close on June 30, at which time the clubrooms will be handed over to Rembrandt Living. Copies of the minutes of todays meeting will be sent to members along with the Saluut published by NESWA, financial statements are available at the club for any members who wish to see them.

We are pleased to announce that the Netherlands Consulate-General in Sydney will organise a Pop-up Passport desk in Adelaide on 2,3,4 May, 2023.

Appointments for NL passport and ID card applications are now open. You can book your appointment by emailing [email protected]. Please mention your full name, date of birth, email address, (mobile) phone number and availability.

Please note that (since August 2021) we charge an additional service fee of €23.60 for pop-up passport desks, to be paid together with the applicable consular fees, in AUD.

If you are in need of an NL passport or ID card prior to our visit to Adelaide, kindly book an (online) appointment at the Netherlands Consulate-General in Sydney or the offices of our external service provider VFS Global in Perth or Melbourne, where you can apply all year round.

Finally, please keep in mind that our consular team is travelling from Sydney.

Last-minute changes/cancellations due to unforeseen events, travel restrictions or weather, may occur.

The Consulate-General will not accept any liability or refund (travel)costs to customers for any appointments that must be cancelled due to events out of our control.

As many of you may already know The Dutch Club at Greenfields S.A will be closing its doors for the last time in June this year 😔
So we’d like you to come celebrate the very last Family Day with us on Sunday 21st May from 12noon till 4 pm. We’re still in the planning stages but we’ll have prizes and a few surprises too and we’ll probably get you to book tables as the date gets closer!
So put the date in your diary and come celebrate our great club one last time on SUNDAY 21st MAY 2023 😊

To celebrate St. Nicholas day we will be holding a special Family Day on this Sunday 4th December from 12noon till 4pm with a special visit from the man himself!
As usual kitchen and bar will be open with live music and dancing.
If you would like your child to have a photo opportunity with St. Nicholas please book your child/children in by texting their name to 0430 065052 - we’d also love if you could supply a small wrapped gift with their name on it and we’ll get St.Nicholas to give it to them. All children will also receive a treat bag from The Dutch Club.

Unfortunately due to an outbreak of Covid amongst our committee, we have to CANCEL our FAMILY DAY which was on this Sunday 20th November!
At this stage 5 of us are positive so not many left to run the show! Sorry 😞

Thank you to all who attended the Cancer Charity Dance today hosted by the club and organised by Maddie! It was a very busy, fun day with approx. 150 people at the club!
Well done to our tired volunteers who managed to provide food and drinks to everyone despite our tills stopping 5 mins before opening!! 😳 this meant alot of extra work to get the meals out but we managed and thank you to most people who showed patience and understanding 🥰
We sincerely hope you had a good day and I heard on the grapevine that at least $2000 was made to be donated the Cancer Research Fund!

We are very sad to announce the passing of Toni Zanoli, and although we will miss her very much, she is now at peace. Toni was our kitchen helper for many years right up until last month, even at the age of 91 she loved to work and it was hard to get her to stop sometimes! Our heartfelt condolences to her loving family ❤️

This is Steven Frank, many of our members will remember his brother Nico who was a long time member of our club until he passed away in 2020
For those of us that are too young to know when you listen to his story, you can understand better how it feels to be a Ukrainian today.
This short film was screened on the “White Cliffs of Dover” last week ❤️
