It's been a while since I have been active on social media and I want to thank you for your patience and continued support.

This post is a very special one, as I want to pay tribute to my Mum.

The past six months have been incredibly challenging for my family as we shifted our time and energy in supporting Mum through the final stages of her journey with cancer. While we are experiencing a range of emotions and miss her dearly, we also celebrate her life and the beautiful memories we shared.

After taking some time away from the business, I am now back and very excited to collaborate with our clients on some exciting projects.

Regrettably, I was unable to attend the awards ceremony held in Sydney on Saturday evening, but my heart soared when I received the exhilarating notification call this morning.

Food makes the heart sing! It’s also heavily critiqued by your attendees. Here are 5 tips that will have you selecting a winning menu every time 🤩

🍽️ Keep it simple. Avoid complex & heavily spiced dishes. You’ve heard the saying ‘less is more’. It absolutely applies to menus! Also if you let it simple, there is less room for things to go wrong.

🍽️ Pick universal favourites. Items like white fish, beef and chicken may seem boring, but not everyone likes specialty produce such as salmon, pork, lamb etc.

🍽️ Consider cultural and dietary preferences. If the majority of your attendees have a particular preference, help the catering team out by factoring this into your menu selections. Dietary requests will always be accommodated by your catering team but it’s a good idea not to overcomplicate your dietary list.

🍽️ Cater for your audience, have your attendees in mind when reviewing menu options. Reflect on the theme and values of your event along with the attendee demographic. This will see you making choices for attendees rather than for you! 😜
