Join us to celebrate NAIDOC week 2024 for which we've partnered with CREATE Foundation and Emmarita Brown, Australian Indigenous Artist of Yankirri Arts to install a mural in our reception area.

Sit back, enjoy a free NAIDOC decorated donut and watch an artist live at work as a masterpiece unfolds. Giving voice and participation to indigenous young people, our mural has been codesigned through a youth advisory group session for First Nations youth living in care.

In understanding our community and the present, we note that Pennington, the largest suburb in our catchment area has the second highest proportion of First Nations Australians among all suburbs in the City of Charles Sturt. In paying respects to the past, we acknowledge that what is currently Pennigton is also the site of one of several former Aboriginal reserves within the portion of the Hundred Yatala region of South Australia.

We warmly welcome you to join us for what promises to be a wonderful opportunity for First Nations story telling through art. Witness the creating of vibrant places in your local neighbourhood and find connection and belonging in our transforming city and community centre!

Our Event and Festival Sponsorship is now open.🎉

Whether you are organising a sporting, cultural, arts or food event for our local community, we can help with funds to support event infrastructure such as staging, stalls or AV equipment, entertainment costs such as band fees as well as marketing and promotional costs.

This year we are changing from 3 funding rounds to 1 round, so if your event is taking place between August 2024 and June 2025 make sure you apply.

Every week, our volunteers visit older residents across our City, supporting them with social visits, shopping, gardening and even walking dogs.

We are now calling for community bus drivers and community bus aides (who would meet and assist our Ageing Well bus clients) to join our volunteer team.

If you enjoy helping others, have great communication skills and have time Monday - Friday, between 8.30am - 1pm, check out the position description on our website.
