Early in the new year can be a great time to get some admin/organisation tasks crossed off your list.

Many of my couples take a few hours during the Summer to sort out their name stage after getting married.

I received this wonderful email from my past couple this week:

"It was our 10-year wedding anniversary yesterday and we both thought- hey remember that bottle of wine from our wedding day that we’re allowed to open now- let’s do it!

Creating a wine box together on your wedding day, or even a small time capsule, for your future selves is a gift from you to you. There's seriously no better person to give or receive a gift from!

"Camille was committed and passionate from the word go and we knew we were in organised, safe hands. Obviously, we’d never done this before, so her blogs, websites and forum posts made us feel like we had everything at our fingertips.

The personalised ‘Ceremony Planning Guide’ was a God send for us! Absolutely everything was included in this and we were able to customise everything to suit us.

‘Awesome and Unique Vows’ was also something that Matt and I were so thankful for! We had no idea where to start, although we knew we wanted them to follow the same structure and be kept a secret. So it started by answering a few questions Camille had sent us via email, and before we knew it, we had our first draft.

Camille really took the stress out of anything to do with our ceremony and we couldn’t be more grateful. She made it her priority to thoroughly get to know us so she could conduct a personal and intimate ceremony for us. And that she did!

I’ve already lost count at the copious amount of positive feedback Matt and I have received about our celebrant. “She was amazing!” “She captured you both so beautifully!” “She was so much fun!”

To top it off, the evening prior, at our rehearsal, Camille saved the day by organising some last-minute speakers for our reception music. She picked them up on her way to our wedding venue the following day. Who does that?!? Camille does.

She went absolutely above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. I couldn’t recommend Camille more. She was everything we wished for in a celebrant and truly made our day what it was. Camille, you’re the best in the biz and we feel so lucky to have had you there with us on our special day! Thank you ⭐"

Steven and Nicole, like so many couples, have been busy studying, working and living wonderful lives.

But they finally got around to getting married a couple of weeks ago at the stunning Mandalay House & Garden 11 years after they first met in med school.

Disarming and good humoured, both of their unique vows were vulnerable, real and funny as hell too. 🤣

They said nice stuff about me as well:

Last Saturday afternoon at Mitolo Wines after several storm-related delays I felt proud and privileged to conduct the wedding ceremony for my friends and gorgeous couple Steven Athinodorou and Jacinta Athinodorou. 🥰

And at that moment, I also completed my 900th wedding ceremony! 🍾🥂

Not all weddings are large, extravagent and choreographed down to the minute.

Kate and Alistair said their vows in front of their kids in the backyard of a gorgeous, renovated Air BnB in Norwood, before toasting their marriage with some champagne and relaxing for the rest of the afternoon.

In the evening they invited their fam and friends to a "birthday celebration" for Kate and the crowd gave them a standing ovation when Alistair said that, after 16 years together, they had gotten married earlier that day.
