Del is my besties sister and I’ve known Del since she was born, in fact my bestie brought her into school for show and tell when we were in reception 🤣

“Their relationship began amongst the sticky floors of the Rammy dance floor where Adele attempted to impress Tom into her realm of fun by drowning him in tequila shots. As Tom found himself unable to resist Adele’s charm, they ended up at a friends place, indulging in a massive batch of two minute noodles and passing out”.

A true romantic love tale if you tell me 😝

There was so much to love about this day but my favourite was their gorgeous daughter announcing, “Mummy and Daddy married”. Adorable!

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a Celebrant retreat in Bali, hosted by .work.wives where I immersed myself in a transformative soundbowl healing session led by Andrei, a third-generation Javanese healer.

The experience was truly mind-blowing, and I feel deeply grateful to have shared it with a group of truly inspiring individuals. Taking time to reset, refocus, and recharge was exactly what I needed.

Now, I’m stepping into the upcoming wedding season full of inspiration and feeling more energised than ever.

This venue is exquisite and suited Casie and Ryan to a tee. Their international guests and family and friends were treated to a well thought out and delicious wedding day. I never want to leave after the ceremony but i did warn my beautiful couple that i may just sneak into the reception and dance the night away. you never disappoint.

Emma and Jordan got married on a perfect Autumn’s afternoon at the gorgeous .

Everything just felt so calm on their wedding day and there were smiles all round during their ceremony. They listened intently during their vows and it was like they were on their first date. They adore each other and no one is complaining about that!

⭐️ Celebrating 350 Weddings ⭐️

A decade ago, as I planned my own wedding, I realised a gap in the Celebrant market to find a modern celebrant who truly understood our vision. That’s when the spark ignited, and I embarked on this incredible journey as a Celebrant. On Saturday, Kristen and Angus marked my 350th wedding!

I’ve had the privilege of standing beside countless couples as they embark on the most beautiful journey of their lives. From intimate elopements to grand celebrations, I’ve cherished every single ceremony.

In these past ten years, life has taken me on quite the adventure. Four beautiful babies, a move to the country and back again to Adelaide and hustling hard to make dreams come true. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has only strengthened my passion for what I do.

And none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my amazing husband, Scott, and family ❤️ Scott has cheered me on, listened to script ideas, dropped off chargers and been there for a quick last-minute phone call to check for correct pronunciation before I do my thing.

I don’t often boast, but today, I’ll make an exception. I am immensely proud of the journey I’ve taken, the lives I’ve touched, and the love I’ve witnessed. Here’s to the next chapter, filled with even more love stories, cherished memories, and meaningful connections.

To my incredible couples, thank you for trusting me with your special day. To my industry mates, your support has been invaluable.

When you get to officiate friends weddings who you have known since you were 4!

Chris has found his happily ever after in Sarah and I LOVED every minute of your wedding on Friday!

We moved the ceremony mid way because of the rain but it was such a seamless transition. Howard Vineyard staff were on standby to make the swift move under cover and what a professional team they are. Did not miss a beat!

Epic day and left grinning ear to ear that I get to do what I do.

Alyssa and Morgan's wedding at The Manor was truly a fairytale. I even wrote their ceremony script as a fairytale story. It was cheeky, fun and engaging and spoiler alert... The Princess and Prince got married!

"We got married at The Manor in September and Jess was our celebrant. We weren't from the area, so picking vendors and suppliers was even more tricky. When we first met Jess, we fell in love with her straight away. She's so fun, bubbly, easy-going and reassuring.
Leading up to the wedding, she also gave lots of advice and information on writing vows. She read both of our vows to make sure we're both on the same page which is so helpful!
We loved her personality and had lots of chats with her. We didn't even pay attention to the little details we were talking to her about, but she did. We already knew we loved her personality and that she would be an enthusiastic celebrant that would entertaining and keep the ceremony light and fun, but she did so much more. Every little detail we told her in the year/months leading up to the wedding, she remembered! When she was talking at our ceremony, it was like she'd known us for years and years. She brought up little details that we didn't even know we had told her.
So many of our guests thought that we wrote her speech for her, because it was just us to a tee. We had to tell them that not only did we not write it for her, but we didn't even know she was going to say it! It was a surprise for us too which was so nice. She so elegantly captured the story of how we met in fairytale-like setting to capture the vibe of the wedding. I can't even explain how good of a job she did at that. She had us and the crowd in all sorts of emotions.
Jess also relieved a lot of stress by thinking about things I hadn't even considered. She made sure the boys were all in the right positions, acknowledged family that were watching from zoom, made sure the wedding bands were with the right person, had our vows printed, organised the ceremony music, stepped out of the way for the first kiss photo, handing the marriage certificate to mum and so much more. All the little details that you'd think would be a hassle, she was all over it. I also love that when she came to see me before the ceremony, she saw my dress and said "yes, I knew it was going to be a big poofy princess dress, so I moved the decorations over a little to make room for it." It felt like she just knew us so well.
I didn't know what would make a good celebrant when we were picking one. But I think the answer is Jess is what makes a good celebrant haha! We had endless compliments from guests about her. We cannot recommend her enough.

Brooke and Chase

School is often the catalyst to start a relationship but rarely are they ones that endure. With Brooke and Chase it’s lasted the test of time and they made it all offical at the stunning in Kangaroo Island in front of their friends and family.

It was such a treat to get to know these two and I enjoyed every minute of our planning. Good news, we live very close by so I’m sure I’ll be seeing more of their infectious smiles around.

I felt like a proud Mumma Celebrant bear snuggling in between these beautiful people. A photo that truly represents connection, privilege and a whole lot of love.

From a beach wedding, surprise wedding, a paddock in the country and this gorg venue at , they all had unique ceremony’s executed their way with their own personal touches.

I won’t lie, I’ll miss this wedding crew. Thankful for socials to keep up to date with their antics and adventures.

There have been some romantic places to meet in the world. In Times Square, The Eiffel Tower, Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Opera House… Somehow Red square night club in Hindley street doesn’t quite have the same ring to it 🫣

They both have a desire to be silly at times. Taking every opportunity to slide into some ridiculous joke or situation when they can. Making up songs about the most mundane things or dancing like they’re in a sitcom as they wait for their food to cook.

That’s what I love about these two and boy was the rehearsal amazing too. Wine at this winery with their amazing wedding crew on a perfect summer afternoon!

300 weddings I have officiated since I became a Marriage Celebrant in 2014 and the timing couldn’t have been more fitting as it was my Brothers wedding and my gorgeous children were there to see their Mum in action. 🎤

I have carried all my children throughout my career as a Celebrant, so they have been just as much part of this journey as I have. 💛

Thank you to my wonderful couples who said “we want Jess to marry us”. I have loved every moment and am truly grateful for sharing your stories and standing by your sides on one of the best days of your life. 💍

Special mention to my Husband, Scott, for listening to me read out scripts and ask for advice when creating the words to deliver.

Lisa and Brad exchanged their vows at the stunning Beresford Wines

Not only did I have the privilege of being their Celebrant but I also MC’d their wedding reception too and oh my gosh did this gorgeous couple and venue put on a show!

“On their first date, it was Lisa’s beautiful mannerisms and her amazing eyes that caught Brad’s attention. She was intently invested in everything he had to say. For Lisa, it was Brad’s warm charismatic, caring, loving nature. She just remembers thinking “this guy is the one”.

Some couples have a nickname for each other. Brad hated the idea of “babe” so of course Lisa made that stick… Along with baby cakes and anything associated with bum. Like Sexy Bum/Cheeky Bum/Sexy Pants/Cutie Pants.

The only thing up for debate as they became husband and wife was whether they became Mr and Mrs Baby Cakes or Mr and Mrs Cutie Pants.”

Alicia, Emily and their team from Beresford Wines did not stop all day and night and managed the day seamlessly 👌🏻

Skye and Matt 🖤
When you become the family celebrant it doesn’t get much better than that!

I married Skye’s sister, Matt’s best man and hugged a few parents of my gorgeous past couples who were guests 💛

“Skye loves that Matt is so selfless, he rarely does things for himself although he deserves too. He is passionate about his career, super hard working and never complains.
Skye also reckons the fact he’s a big kid at heart, always cracking corny jokes, laughing at those jokes is almost as amusing as him laughing so hard his laugh turns silent. You think he’s smiling while crying but in fact he’s laughing. And he’s always full of surprises.

Matt’s observations of Skye are simple. He loves her curly wild red hair, he is always buoyed at how caring and thoughtful she is and puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
Matt loves her passion and even her organisation as she always seems to have an endless lists of things to do.”

As a Celebrant, i don’t just deliver the legal parts of a ceremony (which is literally 5 minutes), i get invested in my couples and learn about them as individuals and as a couple and deliver their unique story with the right balance of heartfelt and humour. Heck, I even get teared up when kids walk down the aisle or when you give Grandma a hug after!

It’s hard not to feel like we are close friends by the time we have our “farewell photo”. Although I’m always optimistic that I just might bump into all 280 of my couples that I’ve married again one day, the reality is though, I might not.

It’s a bittersweet moment right here with Christine and Jeff and I loved sharing your story and getting you two married ❤️
