About Lalla Botanic

Hi Everyone, thank you for looking at my business page, below is a not so short reason of why and how I started this page. Please feel free to have a read, look at our products and/or make your own customized order. Cheers, Jade. About Lalla Botanic: Every few weekends from the age of 8 I helped Nana (Lalla) out in the garden keeping up the maintenance on their horse stud in the Adelaide Hills. I wanted to help and learn, in return I got paid a few dollars and received Nana's eternal knowledge on plants and flowers. Some things this included were; Learning about different species of flowers, plants and weeds, How to pot Trim/prune, Water, Arrange flowers/plants, Etc. I applied for a job at a florist wholesaler when I turned 17, soon starting there as a line worker. I decided I wanted to study floristry so I went to TAFE. The following year, 2012 when completing the course I went on to work at 2 florists specializing in floral arrangements and event management. Unfortunately it's not simple owning a business and both companies eventually didn't survive. I went on working other jobs in various industries while continuing to do my floristry from home on a small scale, including 2 weddings. In 2019 my sister Molly, renamed her hairdressing business, Astarlo and offered me a windowsill in her studio to advertise and sell my floral products. Within 2 weeks I had designed my logo and ordered stock to start selling. I thought of names for a little while and had decided to name the small business after the person that taught me most of what I know, Nana (Lalla), I soon decided on the name Lalla Botanic. Myself and my lovely partner went plant shopping once some stock arrived, later that night all 12 first pots were complete and ready to be taken to the studio. The next morning I set up my first display at Astarlo, Oakbank. I also set up messaging so customers can contact me directly through Facebook to make 100% customized orders. We hope to help make your home that little bit brighter with one of our handmade arrangements. Perfect as a gift for all occasions!
