🌈 Excited and Humbled 🌈

We had the incredible honour of catering the Moranbah Rainbow Collective Gala. Being part of such a remarkable event that supports an even better cause was truly heartwarming.

The organizers, Bec and Kat, did an outstanding job, ensuring everything ran smoothly and creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with love and unity. The entertainment was fantastic, bringing joy to everyone present.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all the sponsors who made this event possible. Their generosity and support helped make this gala a resounding success.

As the night came to a close, we couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude and a sense of community. It was a beautiful gathering that brought people together, celebrating diversity and inclusion.

✨ Increase Visibility, Reduce Vulnerability ✨

Our objective for this years Rainbow Gala focuses on empowering the LGBTQ+ people in our community to feel seen, heard and supported. 💖🌈

This year, we have taken inspiration for our theme from q***r clubs and venues throughout the generations that have provided LGBTQ+ people with safe spaces to express their true selves in a time where it was unsafe for people to be open about their sexuality or gender identity. 🦄

LGBTQIA+ people are one of the most at risk groups for experiencing mental health issues and su***de. This can be caused by harassment, abuse, isolation, bullying, etc. all of which can occur sometimes simultaneously in the workplace, school, home environment and businesses. This number increases even further for LGBTQIA+ Indigenous and First Nations people. 🤎🖤

One of the key outcomes of this event is to raise funds to bring LGBTQIA+ education and mental health training into our region. By providing this education and training, we are giving people the tools to support one another, reducing the vulnerability and creating a safety net for community members. Having the financial capacity to continue hosting social and public events contributes to the visibility and inclusivity we wish to achieve and encourages new community members and local workers to stay in the region fostering liveability and sustainability. 📚🏡

The Rainbow Gala is as a statement. It says that even in the smallest of towns we can have the biggest voices. By attending Rainbow Gala, you are making a stand against discrimination and supporting those that are vulnerable. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🫶

Connection creates stronger communities. 🤝
