Despite not realising it was our anniversary (yesterday) until much later in the day than we care to share (and not for the first time, either)... here we are loving hard, and laughing even harder still, seven years on.

Marriage - We sure as sh*t don't get it right 100% of the time, but I reckon we're giving it a red hot go. I'm so glad it's you I'm doing it with x

Perhaps this is my year to finally print a wedding photo, or two! Loved this day, a moment just for us, Grace who was half baked in my belly, and our Willow girl.

Oh hey there 👋
It’s been about 100 years since I did one of these, so here goes!

🍃I’m a country girl at heart, growing up on a farm at the foot of the Stirling ranges. Wide open spaces is where I’m happiest, be it farmland, mountain ranges, the beach or the beautiful Aussie outback. My heart is torn between our wild Deep South & the red dirt of the north!

🍃And so there’s no surprises that I’m a gypsy at heart. My feet are varying degrees of ‘itchy’ at any given point. Winter, aka right now, they’re intolerably itchy ☀️

🍃I hit the jackpot meeting my husband. The past 9 years have been jam packed with big life things, adventure, laughter, tears, joy & happiness.

🍃We made two pretty great kids, Grace (6) and Clancy (5). They fill our world with chaos, mess, hair pulling frustration, laughter & so much love. Parenting throws spanners left right & centre, some days we feel like we’re getting it about 50% right 😜, we feel so darn lucky.

🍃I’m an extroverted-introvert, a surprise to many! Parties terrify me. Big crowds, yikes. I love my own company, & smaller catch ups with friends & family. But, give me a purpose or a job to do & I’m good for any old crowd you throw my way!

🍃I’ve pursued many careers over the years; working on sheep & cattle stations, education, civil construction worker, wedding venue manager, & a bazillion other roles in between. It was through my years at that the epiphany of becoming a celebrant formed! Meeting awesome people, networking with like minded professionals & working cohesively towards a day so rich with connection & happiness….. What’s not to love? (**Battling my way through hair & makeup each week, that part I could do without 😆)

🍃It’s the simple life for me. Nature with adventure & sunshine, family & friends, gin or wine (or both), great food, live music & a good dance once in a while…..

New office digs over here, and so a long overdue update of my planning packages is underway ❤️‍🔥

The irony is not lost on me that I’ve spent the better part of my week playing with some words about your vow writing, with your very own words…… 🤔

And so, now I’m plain old procrastinating posting photos of the glorious Grace and Todd, exchanging their own beautiful, authentic vows!!! So aligned, both vows featuring their mutual adoration for double coat choc Tim tams(🤤) and promises to share…. In the business of helping to create successful, long lasting marriages…. Of course I bought them the ‘never ending’ carton (swipe 👉🏻).

What a stunning day, for a stunning couple, a rockstar wedding party and possibly my most favourite crowd of guests. These guys know how to “wedding”, I always know I’m in for a good time with the M.B crew 🪩 💥⚡️🖤.

My latest offering.

A package designed for the couples who are planning a wedding, or elopement, who are leaning towards a short and sweet ceremony. I’ll take a beautiful, simple ceremony, add some minor personalisation, and deliver it with the authenticity and passion I bring for all my couples.

This addition has come about following conversations with couples, and my friend, .celebrant . Collectively (at opposite ends of the state) we’ve observed an increase in couples who are keen to strip it all right back. Notably, we also commented the number of times we’d been accosted by bridal party after the ceremony, claiming we stole their entire speech 🤭.

The one day out of three hundred and sixty six days of this year that the wind wasn’t prolific here in the great southern must be documented with the locks loose!

Keegan and Roberta’s beautiful, intimate wedding yesterday with people visiting from all across Australia, the world, and joining us via livestream (thanks to Jack of all, ). Emotive, joyful, happy and so much love 💘.

My ‘season’ is winding down, only four couples left to lock down their love…. And then a little break before launching right back in with another Bluff Knoll elopement 💥

It’s been a beautifully BIG wedding season, so many amazing couples, beautifully unique celebrations, and lots and lots of love! It’s also been ‘big’ on a personal level, and I’ve leaned more heavily than ever on some incredible ladies in my life to keep things flowing seamlessly. Grateful doesn’t come close 🫶.

This years break *WILL be utilised to update my packages, website and all other neglected areas of my little biz! With a new package option being released *soon!!!! My presence on the socials remains haphazard….. I’m confident you don’t expect anything different these days 😉 So many thoughts and internal conversations about the place social media ‘should’ play. Perhaps I’ll pick your brains about it sometime!!! For me, I’ve found myself stripping it allll right back again, connection! Each and every wedding is incredibly special, and beautiful, and unique, and everything it should be. But, it’s your marriage that matters above all else. Start it off right with a wedding that truly reflects you as a couple. Stick to what feels right, feels good. And do away with anything that leaves you questioning ‘why’? Pro tip; pause your Instagram, move in directions that you’re innately drawn towards, not what Insta is trending or ‘leading’ you towards. That’s where your magic lies! (In my humble opinion, of course 😆).

One year, one month and one day ago, THIS happened!

Karen and Brant were married at sunrise atop Bluff Knoll. Even a year on, it feels so surreal.

I could attempt to depict the morning here, in words, but the truth is I couldn’t have imagined a more telling film than the masterpiece. Sheer magic, encapsulating Karen, Brant and their special morning beyond perfectly. Head to my insta page to see it in all its glory!

Karen and Brant waited an entire year before they announced it to their loved ones at their “engagement party”, and that was one party I sure wish I could have been at! 🥹

The Inbox is cleared for the first time in weeks!

We’re gearing up to the biggest couple of months of what we call “wedding season”. My self imposed limit of weddings per month blew out over the next couple, please bear with me as I give my couples my all!

I won’t be holding any meetings or catch ups for couples who aren’t marrying in Feb or March until April, so if you’re hoping to lock in a date, please keep this in mind!

But for now, it’s time for one last summer holiday jaunt with my family before school heads back. .celebrant we’re coming for you and your slice of south coast paradise 🫶

2024, we’re off and racing 💙🩵🤍

This afternoon, I witnessed a love and bond so pure and real between my couple who eloped at Little Beach. It was truly breathtaking.

This one’s on the down low, for now, so here’s a few photos of the incredible afternoon at what is, in my humble opinion, Albany’s most picturesque beach.

• was there to capture the magic, and I am literally counting down until we see the first of these begin the flow through. Holly (as always) bought such a relaxed, warm and friendly vibe to party. Always a pleasure!
• My #1 tip for elopements now read as, “Live music is ESSENTIAL”. Rob played and sang so beautifully, it really and truly took the vibe to a whole new level at this elopement. Romantic ✔️ Fun ✔️ Great vibes ✔️.
• Helen’s flowers in our brides bouquet were exquisite, as always. The scent of the blooms wafted over us, across the salty air. If you haven’t seen or smelt Helen’s flowers, you don’t know real flowers!
• The entire family looked amazing. AMAZING! (Just you wait). Our bride was literally glowing, a true natural beauty, made only more radiant and stunning by our local sweethearts, .samiotis.hair + 🙌. Invite these ladies to your wedding morning to do their thing, I’m telling you, you won’t regret it! ❤️‍🔥

So. There you have it. My first wedding and post for 2024. I’ll likely delete the app from my phone again now, and pop up again when you least expect it! 🙊

Today, here 👆🏽.
Yesterday, I was back in the NT ✈️ . A short but so very sweet 4 day visit to see some of my most cherished people. I left on the plane last night with a happy heart, and a tear in my eye. One half of my heart lives here in our Deep South, the other in the top end of our amazing country. How lucky I am to have them both in my world 🫶

I’ve just rolled in from my final wedding for the year, and what a little ripper it was.

2023 has been kind to me, bringing so many wonderful, wholesome, RAD people into my sphere. It never grows old, the people you meet in my role.

Thank YOU for entrusting your love, your story, with me. It’s incredibly humbling and I can honestly say I love being a celebrant just as much, if not more, as when I first began.

I can’t wait for my 2024 couples! It’s shaping up to be another cracker with everything from beach and bush elopements, to back yard and black tie winery weddings, and everything in between. Whichever form they come in, I love each and every one!

Drink eat and be merry, and always, always tell the ones you love exactly that. Catch you on the flip-side lovers, peace out 🌻 🤍 Ax
