What a fantastic night serving over 220 guests at last Tuesday’s function! 🎉
A huge thank you to Emma and the for helping us pull off another successful event. We’re incredibly proud of the menu we crafted using amazing local ingredients from the Great Southern region. Here’s a look at what we served:
Entrée
✨ Prawn & Crab Arancini – Ajvar & Frisée, featuring fresh seafood from Great Southern Seafoods and greens from Bathgate Farm.
✨ Pepper-Crusted Beef Carpaccio – Finger lime, parmesan & fried capers. Special thanks to Mount Barker Pastoral for the premium beef and Joe from Hotel Lagrange for the finger limes!
✨ Celeriac Fondant – Paired with Torbay Asparagus and local truffles.
Mains
🍽️ Pistachio & Honey Pork Roulade – Gremolata, apple & fennel remoulade, and crackling. Shout-out to Farm Fresh Foods, Bathgate Farm, and Old School Honey for providing top-notch ingredients!
🍽️ Chicken Ballotine – Stuffed with spiced sausage farce, basil pesto, blistered cherry tomatoes, and jus. All thanks to Spencer Park Butchers.
🍽️ Sweet Potato Gnocchi – With blistered cherry tomatoes, Torbay asparagus, and pesto.
Desserts
🍰 Coconut Panna Cotta – Served with mango, basil, and passionfruit. Special thanks to Mario for the local passionfruit from Torbay, and Aveg for the coconuts and mangoes!
🍫 Chocolate Pave – Topped with almonds and freeze-dried strawberries. A sweet finish featuring strawberries from Handasyde.
