Dear Valued Customers,

With a heavy heart, we announce the closing of Albany Wacky Golf, Last Day 1st June This decision was not made lightly, but after careful consideration of various factors, it has become clear that it is time for us to close our doors.

Over the past 5 years, we've had the joy of welcoming countless visitors, hosting vibrant school groups, and being the go-to spot for unforgettable parties. Each swing, laugh, and cheer that echoed through our courses filled us with immense pride and joy.

As we prepare to say goodbye, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who chose Albany Wacky Golf as a place to create joyful memories. Your enthusiasm and spirit have been the highlight of our journey. We believe that Albany Wacky Golf provided a unique experience, not only within Albany but also compared to any other mini golf course in Australia. With its themes, props and costumes, there isn't any other experience like it.

Our escape rooms were unique as our themes and storylines were built by us - and hundreds of people have had the experience of solving the puzzles and challenges to complete these rooms.

Our team, who have been instrumental in delivering the fun and excitement you've come to expect from us, also deserve a special mention. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and hard work.

Though we are closing, the memories and friendships made here will last a lifetime. We remain hopeful that we can cherish these final moments together and celebrate the joy we've shared.

For those wondering about our decision to close, our lease expires in July (we do not own the building). Due to the condition of the building we feel that it is no longer suitable as our venue. We have had roof issues for the past 9 months. Part of the roof has finally been repaired, but with other leaks and dust issues we have been advised by the owners that the entire roof will require replacing at some point - but this will not be done while we remain there. There are other repairs to be made to the building that also have not or will not be attended to.

We would like to reopen in the future, however we currently do not have a venue that is suitable or affordable for our small family business.

We have provided a destination for people of all abilities and ages to come to - and have built some of our courses with various groups in mind. However as we are a private business - we are not eligible for any funding in regards to education, disability services or sporting. Having survived through COVID (we opened 7 months beforehand) - it took a couple of years to recover and we are not in a financial position to afford our own property at the moment. Commercial rents are also currently very high.

We will continue to operate our hire services, including our portable mini golf, garden games, giant bubbles and softplay.

Any vouchers may be redeemed up until the time we close.
