We have a large country garden that supplies flowers for our Floral Design Studio. The garden is sustainably managed and features a mix of native and other seasonal blooms. Local seasonal blooms provide joy that captures a moment i

n time and celebrates seasonality. As a floral designer and gardener my designs are inspired by the natural environment and the many varied colours and textures that surround us. We make bouquets to order and supply Wedding and Event flowers.

Spring weather means lots of garden gathered blooms for our weddings and workshop this weekend. Roses are starting to flower, it is always a wonderful time in the garden when the hard slog of pruning starts to reward me!

The last few months have been a flurry of activities, pruning, mulching, and general maintenance. Long days, exhausting physical work.
The garden is starting to bloom, and these chores will be replaced with the reward of garden gathered blooms for workshops, weddings, and events.
It feels good to begin the creative process again, but first, I am having a few days away to visit the East Coast family.

A wet and windy day forecast tomorrow will see me tidying up in my studio.I haven't had a chance to get in and properly sort the space out after a busy season.
This photo was captured by Hannah a couple of years ago on a very wet late autumn day. There are no flowers to distract me tomorrow from the tidying.

Rose pruning has begun. It will keep Jim and I busy in the coming weeks, along with pruning the orchard and vineyard.
In the evening, a rest in front of the fire with a deliciously scented candle at , as I contemplate the spring rose flush!

Riverdale1898, the original settlers' cottage on our property, has limited availability over winter for those wanting a relaxing stay in the country. Slow combustion fire, views over paddocks to the Kalgan River, and a walk trail along the Luke Pen walk for wintery walks.

It was a beautiful event to wrap up the growing season at Riverdale Farm. I used the last of the flowers to create antique urns full of autumnal flowers.
The Chef, The Farmer, and The Gardener for Taste Great Southern.
Hosted together with our friends at Moojepin Foods , Sabrina , and Melissa, and her team
Thank you to all the lovely guests who joined us for the evening.
It's time now to rest a little before winter pruning begins in late June.
