The time has come for transformation, to close the door on what has been a beautiful journey for Studio Bloom & Co and open up the door to brand new adventures.

I will have 3 glorious weddings in the first half of 2025 (including my very own daughters🥰), but after that, I will hang up my snips.
It's a bitter sweet decision as it's been over 11 years of blood sweat and tears poured into this business. However, I know it's time to follow other dreams and begin something new.

I have been so very blessed to have lived my dream of running a floral designer business and grateful for so much love and support xx

I'm sure by now you have noticed some changes happening around here.
I have been gently falling deeper in love with a whole new creative floral medium, pressing flowers! It is such a peaceful art form that feels like a meditation throughout the process. Not to mention the joy I feel when I have taken your wedding florals,presserved them, and captured the memories of your day in a frame so you have it forever, is so heart-warming to me.

This is something I have quietly been doing for about 4 years now, but recently, I feel the universe is pulling me deeper towards this art form.
✨️ So I surrender to this beautiful flow ✨️

So after 10+ years of creating beautiful fresh florals for your wedding, doing epic large scale set ups,and running on high adrenaline, I am shifting into a slower pace and bringing this beautiful great southern a whole new service with our Pressed Botanicals 🌸 as well as a splatter of micro wedding flowers for those heartfelt intermediate wedding vibes.

Shall we do a bit of fun fact Friday 🤗

The other day, I was chatting to a dear friend and told her something about my life she didn't know, so I thought it would be a fun way to get to know each other here.

5 fun facts about me:

💙 I used to be a ballroom dancer and competed in major Australian dance competitions, at 13yrs old, I became number 6 in Australia 💃🕺

💙 I have what my husband calls, monkey feet, and I can pick things up with my toes 🤣 A very handy skill to have 😁

💙 I left high school at the end of year 10 to start working in a florist shop, but I was let go after about 3 mths to give the job to a family member instead 🥹 So I put the dream of being a florist in a box on the shelf for many years after that.

💙 I am not a fan of baths. I just can't sit still and relax. A shower by candlelight is my go-to if I want to de-stress, something magical about it.

💙 I am a recovering people pleaser and classic over thinker 🤪🥴🤯 But I know I'm not alone in this one 😉

The art of pressing has captivated me 🌸

Sitting in the stillness of a gentle meditation, connecting to the complex details that mother nature creates.

Thank you to all the couples that have entrusted me with their wedding flowers over the past few weeks, it is my thrill to be able to capture your beautiful florals in time and hold the memories of your special day.

This studio is full, and so is my heart 🤍

I haven't had fresh flowers in my studio for ages now. It's like a pub with no beer, right?
But here is the deal, iam a home studio florist that only has fresh florals available when I have an event booked. It would be amazing to have blooms on had all the time. However, as im in the business of fresh produce, it's just not viable 😮‍💨
Iv been missing having a play with fresh florals, so when I was walking the dog, I could not resist the urge to create this teeny tiny posy 🌼 And it reminded me of being a kid, making daisy chains sitting on the grass, just being in the moment, playing and creating something pretty for your own joy.
Mother nature always wispers the most beautiful reminders in our ears, hey!

Do I press native florals??
Absolutely, we do. In fact, I love the process for these beauties.

Each flower is carefully taken apart, bit by bit, pressed for several weeks, and then painstakingly reconstructed to form the flower once again.
It is definitely a long process, and you need some patience. However, it feels like a form of meditation to me, plus the results are so worth it.
