Thanks Alex for turning on such a great event. It was a magic crowd, a great atmosphere, a superb call by Mr. Terry Murray and Andrew Embling, a memorable performance from Danny Phegan. And of course, some brilliant action by the two and four-legged athletes on the McPhee Rodeo Company arena, and none of it could be achieved without our valued sponsors and volunteers, and you who came along.

Thanks Cherie for sharing your thoughts.

Congratulations to Kenny Tanner who swung down from Mansfield today to take out our Local Steer Ride!

But there’s still several hours of events on the arena, followed by Danny Phegan on the Main Stage taking us through to around midnight.

So if you’re not here yet, there’s still time for a fantastic night at the Alexandra Pro Rodeo.

BUSES?

The event organisers don't have a bus option but here's some info to help out:

If you're staying in/around Alexandra, try Alexandra Taxis (0408 576 420).

If you're staying further south (Taggerty, Buxton, Marysville) then give Debbie at Bespoke Driven Tours a call on 0493 097 777.
Alternatively, Greg at Dindi Rides is happy to chat on 0402 000 534.
Some of the local hotels and caravan parks may also be offering some shuttle services too. We'll add any other options to this post as they get confirmed.

Of course, there's lots of accommodation options in walking distance of the Rodeo if you would prefer to work off that extra Christmas pudding too!

Quick Reminder: Alexandra Pro Rodeo are NOT providing a live stream of tonight's event. Each year we hear a handful of stories ordinary people like yourself who clicked on a strange livestreaming link, provided credit card details on a dodgy site, and found themselves in credit card issues!

There are lots of links being shared offering a private live stream of the event, and this will likely increase through the day. Although our small team are actively dealing with spammy activity, we encourage you to help by reporting any suspect links, fake pages, odd Alex Rodeo groups, etc so we can deal with them appropriately.

Otherwise, just ignore the links and come and enjoy the action live on the hill!

Thank you for all your concerned phone calls today.... the rodeo grounds are not flooded, and it's full steam ahead for the Alexandra Pro Rodeo on Saturday.

Many parts of Victoria have been inundated with significant rainfall over the last few days, and we are continuing to think of all our friends and neighbours downstream who have been (and will continue to be) impacted by this week's rain event.

Although many of our team have been out and about supporting the region (in emergency services roles, or other ways) bump in for the rodeo is still on schedule with the major marquees going up today, the arena tomorrow, and a busy back half of the week.

And for those who are interested in the arena itself - 12 months ago we added a large amount of sand to the arena to help with drainage and conditioning. So despite the significant rains, the arena is drying out nicely and the grass on the hill looks amazing! These photos show just how great the grounds are looking this afternoon.

We can't wait to see you on Saturday.
