Business Hardship Support Closing Next Monday
The NT Government's Business Hardship Register, supporting businesses suffering a downturn in trade due to COVID-19, is closing Monday 28 February at 5pm.
The re-opening of the Register will allow eligible business to:
• Receive a one-off grant of $3,000 for employing businesses, and $1,000 for sole traders; and
• Have their payroll tax waived from January 2022 to March 2022 (if they have a payroll below $5 million); and
• Have their regulated utility bills reduced by 30 per cent.
Businesses will need to demonstrate a 40 per cent reduction in turnover from December 2021 or January 2022, as compared to the equivalent period in 2019-20.
