Centralian Ladies Day Luncheon

We want to know, if we do have an event next year what time of year suits?
This year we had to go later due to the fact we only decided in January to actually go ahead with the idea.

So would March, May, September or October be better? If another month outside of that works as well? Preferably not the hot months and not peak mustering time.

Our next event will be ran along side an actual race day at the Turf Club.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Luncheon and Cut out Party!

We had such a great turn out for our first event and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

The support we were shown was amazing, it was so lovely to hear how much the day was needed and appreciated, hopefully we can continue this on and be an event marked in the calendar each year.

I had such a great experience planning the event and to see it all come together was such gratification for all the hard work.

Thank you to all our sponsors for coming on board to make it happen, to the turf club for being so great to deal with for all the planning and setting up, the entertainment from both The Wanted Gems and WolfPack Amadeus and our amazing guest speakers!

Unfortunately due to a few reasons beyond our control we couldn’t have our auction, however will be having an online auction posted tomorrow. So please bid if you are interested in any of the items displayed yesterday!

Saturday is the day! 🙌🙌🙌

Just a few reminders to make your day a little easier.

Make sure you pre book your transport the the event!
We have a taxi/bus service to get people home from the Cut Out Party, however tickets will need to be pre purchased.

The event starts at 1pm, the bar will be open from 12:30pm for drink purchases for people arriving early (the drink package starts from 1pm).
We have a lot on during the day, so if you can aim to arrive no later then 12:45pm.

The luncheon finishes at 5pm with the cut out party starting at 5:30. This is so we can set the Marquee up for the party.
The Wanted Gems will be performing from 4pm-6pm to keep you entertained

For people attending the Cut out Party who weren’t at the Luncheon, remember it is $15 entry and cash only. Kids are free

There will be platters for both adults and kids included in the cut out party. But please organise dinner prior as there are no meals available.

Our Auction starts at 6:30pm

WolfPack Amadeus will be taking the stage at 8pm

Around 9pm we have our Mens Best Butt Comp, where you can win a Kent Saddlery Gear bag worth $215!

Our Luncheon and Cut Out Party is next Saturday!

We are so excited! Nearly 10 months of planning and it’s all coming together 🙌

For all of those not attending the luncheon, you are welcome at the Cut Out Party starting from 5:30pm, kids welcome as well.

We will have platters of nibbles for the adults and platters for the kids.

You can purchase a ticket online or pay at the gate.

Our Silent Auction is now live until Friday 25th August.

How it works?
See an item you like but won’t be at our Cut Out Party, message us with the item number, your name, phone number and the MAXIMUM bid you would like.

When it comes to the time of the auction, we will Bid on behalf of you, up to your Maximum bid.
If the item goes for under, you will only pay the final bid price.

We will then contact you to make payment for your item.
It will need to be paid within 24hrs or will be passed onto the other bidder.

All profits from our Ladies Day Luncheon will be donated to RAISEducation.

Please note the day is cocktail attire and not Race Wear as there is no races on, the venue just happens to be The Turf Club. So formal headwear is not a requirement.

We didn’t have enough numbers to run a full Creche however for those who need to bring their children to the Luncheon or the Cut Put Party, we will have food platters, drinks, games and the playground

So please don’t worry if they are there, we are all women and understand sometimes we just can’t get a sitter.

But they will need to leave by 10pm due to licensing

One thing this town is good for is supporting others! We are so thankful to all our sponsors for their support towards our Rural Women’s Ladies Day.

And we thought why not pass that support onto a rural organisation like RAISEducation, Raise supports geographically isolated children, family’s and governesses with extra education support they may need.
Kylie does a fantastic job, this is a completely free service for families, so fundraising it vital to keep this amazing service operating

Transport!

Our event is located at the Alice Springs Turf Club south of town.

Although we have looked into different options for transporting everyone it has seemed to be an expense out of our budget, and we didn’t want to raise ticket prices.

So with that being said we have been in contact with the local taxi companies to advise them about the event and the main times that guest will be needing their services
12:30-1pm to get to the luncheon
5pm-6pm for people to come and attend the Cut out Party
11pm-12am for everyone needing to get home

We do advise to pre organise your transport, if you are using a friend, taxi or private hire.

For all taxis and private hire as they can be limited in Alice it is important to book them prior to the event and if possible fit as many people in with you to share the load.
