The Organising Committee are extremely proud to have been recognised in the Yorke Peninsula Council Australia Day Awards yesterday, winning the Community Event of the Year. We couldn’t have put on an event like we did without the support of our sponsors, local businesses and of course the local community who came along to enjoy the celebrations.

The Ardrossan 150th Anniversary Celebrations Organising Committee hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the celebrations.
We extend our sincerest thanks to all those who volunteered their time to help, the stall holders, food vans, amusement providers, artists and other service providers for attending, our amazing local businesses for their support, everyone who participated in the Street Parade, our sponsors, and lastly to everyone who came along to join us in our celebrations. We hope we haven’t forgotten anyone.
Our committee members are all enjoying the chance to sit back and take it easy today after a big weekend but look forward to sharing many photos and stories from the weekend with you all over the next few weeks.

SWAMP DONKEYS
We are thrilled to have the legendary Swamp Donkeys performing at our Ardrossan 150th Anniversary Celebrations Concert tonight. Performances have already begun with the Ardrossan Area School Band with locals Fermby Lodge and Caleb Raymond also set to take to the stage. Come on down to the Ardrossan Town Oval, grab something for dinner from one of the food stalls on site at sit back and enjoy a relaxing evening of tunes!

VINTAGE COSTUME
How good do the school children and staff look today in their vintage costumes! Ardrossan Area School have really gotten behind our celebrations and been a huge support such as allowing use of the school gymnasium for our history display. Thank you. Some of the school children will also be leading our Street Parade tomorrow.

The lovely ladies of the SACWA are providing morning tea from their rooms in the Small Hall. $5 for a tea or coffee and plate of food. Water and cake available free to children 10years and under. Call in today or tomorrow 9.30am-1.30pm for one of their famous scones.
