Meals on Wheels Armidale and Uralla Meals on Wheels service to Armidale and Uralla. The Armidale/Uralla Meals on Wheels (AUMOW) service was established 1966. We provide 'More Than Just a Meal'.

It was previously located at the Armidale Hospital, from which meals were integrated back into the community for many years. Since then the organisation has grown substantially and relocated to the Armidale Showgrounds in 2014 where a production kitchen was established. The organisation is overseen by a Management Comm

ittee, comprised of up to 12 members of the community. A number of permanent and casual staff are employed with Armidale/Uralla Meals on Wheels, including the Manager, Administrative Support Officers and the Kitchen Team. The organisation also employs over 200 volunteers who play a vital role in the meal delivery.

Volunteering for Armidale Uralla Meals on Wheels is easy and rewarding - you can give as much or as little of your time as you choose.
Our volunteer drivers deliver our freshly prepared food items across Armidale and Uralla every weekday. Our clients rely on our service to access nutritious meals as well as having a friendly face checking in each day.
If you have one hour a week or one hour a month – we have a few gaps on our Armidale roster, whether it’s a regular spot of an ‘emergency driver’ is up to you.
