It was such a pleasure to marry Alicia and James at earlier this month 🤍

Their gorgeous puppy and ring-bearer Diogee stole my heart 🐶

Remember Thursday….that dreary, stormy, rainy day in Queensland…

That was the day that I married Bethany and Jack.

I already knew these two were beautiful humans, but I couldn’t have loved them and their attitude more on their day 🤍

They weren’t phased in the slightest by the weather. They trusted their vendors decisions…and the result…it was such a beautiful wedding!

Introducing Mr & Mrs Drum 🎉

Jas and Josh were married by me on Saturday at 🤍

Julz ( ) and I discussed after their ceremony that they were so genuinely excited and thrilled throughout.

And the vibe created by their guests was electric - one of the most fun, enthusiastic, supportive and interactive crowds I’ve witnessed. It made my job so much fun!

Before I left on holidays, I didn’t have the opportunity to congratulate Grace and Luca on their gorgeous wedding at 🤍

It was such a wonderful celebration and I was thrilled to be included.

In this post it would be amiss of me not to acknowledge the tragedy that occurred in the week following, when this stunning, heritage listed venue was ravaged by fire.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. But a special mention must go to the formidable, dedicated team at , who despite their own grief are prioritising their time to working closely with each of their couples and clients to take their events to venues around Brisbane while they recover.

I know this is absolutely not the end for the LUSSH! I cannot wait to celebrate many more weddings with the team into the future. The industry stands with you the LUSSH, much love to you all 😘

Sam & Steve 🤍

Sam and Steve met at just 16 years old.
During the Easter school holidays in 2007, they found themselves in the city one afternoon playing pool.

Steve was intrigued by Sami (the private school girl).

And he tried to impress her with videos on his Nokia camera phone of him doing amateur fire breathing in his backyard and photos of the perfectly stacked pyramids of apples that he laboured over in the Woolies produce section.

Needless to say….it worked.

And so began the first stage of their relationship…high school boyfriend and girlfriend….seeing each other once a week and chatting on MSN.

Last Sunday, on their 15 year anniversary, they were married by me at their gorgeous newly renovated home 💕

Bec & Jordan 🥂

Bec and Jordan were married by me on Saturday at Gabbinbar Homestead - Wedding Venue] on the most beautiful Winter’s day ☀️

Bec and Jordan have performed in lots of musicals together, which has framed their relationship the whole way through. They reference events and milestones around which shows they were doing at the time.

So needless to say, there was endless musical entertainment for their big day. A Barbershop Quartet performed as guests arrived and friends in the audience performed at various intervals during the ceremony. It was so beautiful to witness 💕

Cara and Charlie 🤍

There were audible gasps when Cara entered the High Church Brisbane] chapel, because she looked so incredibly beautiful 😍

I loved everything about Cara and Charlie’s ceremony, from their beautiful story and incredible vows to surprising guests with their beloved puppy Franklin delivering the rings.

And as if I didn’t love this gorgeous pair enough…they also sent me these kind words after the ceremony:

Jasmine & Andy 🤍

Far from home and unable to access their original wedding venue due to flooding, Jasmine and Andy’s determination to be married never faltered.

The local community rallied, and thanks to their kindness and the support of Jasmine and Andy’s amazing crew of friends and family, alternate venues were sourced and everyone got to celebrate 🥰

A timely reminder that the most important ingredient for a wedding is love. At the end of the day…it’s all you need.

Although a celebrant and photographers are handy too! And my pals Trent & Jessie and myself would not have missed this one for the world!
