I got voted into the TOP 10 of the Western Australia Weddings WIA awards for Civil Celebrants!

I have dreamed of cracking the top 10 ever since I became a Celebrant almost 5 years ago and this feels freaking fantastic!! 🥰

Was over the moon to be a finalist last year and to make it into the 10 this year… oooft! Right in the feels! 🥹

Thank you SO much to all of my gorgeous couples who took the time to vote and most importantly, for trusting me with your love story and letting me celebrate you in the way you wanted to be celebrated.

Oooft this milestone is giving me allllll the feels! 🥰

I am grateful to every single one of you for trusting me to do your love story justice and letting me celebrate you in exactly the way you wanted to be celebrated. How lucky I am to call so many of you my friends now and it brings me so much joy to continue to be your cheerleader and hype girl, long after the big day has been and gone. ❤️

Thank you to your beautiful guests for being so generous with their energy, for laughing at my jokes and for unapologetically letting the happy tears flow while I shared the story of you.

To every single guest that has sought me out after a ceremony to thank me and share the sweetest of words, I will never be able to express how much this means to me and how I feel like my heart just might burst as I get back into my car and sit in that love bubble. (You just need to watch a post hitching car chat to see it written all over my face ☺️😂).

To my fellow industry pals and family, it is truly a joy to work with you every weekend to spread a little magic and Perth loved up couples are so damn lucky!

CERTIFICATE SIGNING - when do we do it? 🤔
To make this love of yours official in the eyes of the law in Aus we have to sign three certificates on the day… but when exactly do we do this you ask?
Well we have options! (I am all about options and empowering you to pick whichever one you love the most that suits you and the vibe you want to create on the day!) 💕
Option 1️⃣ - We sign the certificates after you exchange the legal vows but BEFORE you are pronounced as married. We leave all your loved ones in a little suspense as we nip off to sign the certificates with your two witnesses, then bring you straight back, you are pronounced and then have a big old smooch and walk back up the aisle. Party time! 🥳
Option 2️⃣ - We finish the ceremony with your epic pronouncement and after your first kiss as a married couple we then sign the certificates with your witnesses. Then we get you back into position, I introduce the newest members of the just married club and you head back up the aisle. Two opportunities to smooch in option 2… or even three if you want the mid aisle confetti kiss shot too! 💋
Option 3️⃣ (like my darlings Bianca and Nik did here) - We treat the certificate signing as a totally different moment altogether and after the ceremony, while your guests are getting stuck into their first drinks during cocktail hour, we find a little space with your witnesses and without any pressure of time or having all the eyes on you, we sign those precious docs in this gloriously intimate way.

A little ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review from my darlings Gabi and Mitch that just made me shed a little happy tear into my pumpkin risotto. 🥹🥹
‘Jess was an absolute dream celebrant.
On the wedding day, we had multiple guests come up to us saying that it was one of the best celebrants they seen and ceremonies they’d heard. Jess wrote such a beautiful and meaningful ceremony script which everyone adored.
On the day, Jess gave us great tips and advice about being in the moment and getting the most out of the experience and day. She also took some videos and photos of the venue set up before guests arrived which was a lovely memory to have, as we didn’t have a videographer.
The process of us getting married took a very long time, with three cancellations due to covid travel restrictions, which meant lots of back and fourth. Jess was so patient and understanding throughout the entire experience.
I would highly recommend Jess as a celebrant. ❤️’

Spot the Celebrant 👀
Did you know you can ask me to stand wherever you like during the ceremony?
And I will always ask you what colours your wedding party are wearing so I can make sure I either completely blend in or compliment your colour scheme.
There are actually a few different options as to where I can stand during the ceremony and there are pros and cons for each so we will chat about these during the rehearsal catch up and make a plan that brings your vision to life.
For my darlings Rebecca and Ashley I blended in with the boys in a navy frock and stood with them to the side. The end result is lovely symmetrical photos where the couple are the focus.
