Over the past two weeks the Smoke on the Weir team has had the pleasure of being apart of the Smoke on the Water events, we have had such an amazing time with some some amazing people.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported us at each event, as well as the organisers for putting together the fantastic events.

It was also great to meet and hang out with some amazing food vendors and to share the experience with them!

We cannot wait for the future Smoke on the Water events, next up is Murry Bridge on the 19th and 20th of October! See you there!

Good evening too all of our loyal followers. This is a long status so apologies in advanced but it something that needs to be addressed.

Myself and the team have always welcomed reviews both negative and positive, all feedback helps us grow as a small business, I am wanting to put this status up to bring to light a few comments that were left on our page earlier this morning.

The review in the first picture is from late last year, the details in the review are false but we left it up as we did not feel the need to defend ourselves from someone who acted very childish on the night and did not speak to any staff member but decided to leave a review. Regardless of this review my focus for this status in the comments that are left underneath as well the comment that was left on our recent status about our upcoming weekend.

To make a long story short, we have had some personal issues with a local trades business that were doing works on our bathroom. With deadlines not being met, as well as some work that was below standard we tried to be as understanding and hospitable towards the workers and the owner. As the work was suppose to be finished, we voiced some frustration to the owner of said business as there was some major faults and mistakes, that made our bathroom unusable, this prompted the owner to verbally abuse, degrade as well as treaten us over the phone.

After we left a negative review on their page, we have been through a few more serious sitiuations with the owner and we are currently in the works on taking legal action. The comments that have been left on our page and our status are a retaliation and they have been expected.

We are a small family run business, and we have always taken great pride in our food quality and our customer service, and we will not allow these false comments to damage everything we have built so far.

Thank you to all that have shown us some amazing support over the years, and we look forward to many many more years to come.

What an amazing day!! With many many hours to spare we have completly SOLD OUT down at Smoke on the Water Swan Hill!!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us, and an even bigger thank you to those who stuck around in line while some of the meat took its sweet time!

We appreciate the support so very much, and are very thankful to the organisers for putting together an amazing event!

Another huge weekend ahead for the Smoke on the Weir team!

Ballarat Nightlife Market is on again this Friday night, as always, the team expects it will be another huge night!

Then on Saturday the smokey team are travelling up to Swan Hill for the very first Smoke on the Water festival on Sunday! We cannot wait to be apart of this amazing celebration of everything smoked! Smoke on the Weir will be holding 6 events across 3 states this year and we are so very lucky to be apart of it!
