A few months ago, Jamie and I were on the brink of quitting Uber Eats. 💔
Anxiety was high as one night we only managed to receive four orders! We kept asking ourselves - why were we doing this? Is it worth the time and effort we are putting in if we aren't getting much back? But, we always came back to our dream of sharing delicious desserts with Ballarat, inspired by our travels in Europe. We wanted to stay true to our passion and make it work, even if it meant starting with almost no orders. We chose to give it our all and stay as consistent as possible, balancing our family schedule as new parents, navigating Jamie's work, and juggling all the demands of life.
Now, our Uber Eats is booming and our dessert nights are off the charts! People are loving it and we’re feeling happily overwhelmed with the flood of orders. The anxiety of not getting many orders has turned into anxiety about how to handle so many (it's a great problem to have). It’s more than we’re used to, but we’re incredibly grateful. We’ve reached the point where we need extra hands because it’s too much for just the two of us. We’re proud of our journey and dedication, and we’ll keep growing.
The takeaway here? Keep showing up, keep trying, and don’t give up. It all pays off. 🌟🍪🍦
