I DON'T WANT AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY.

This is the sentiment I'm hearing from couples when I ask how they envisage their ceremony to look, feel, and sound.

Now, I know that it would be easy to simply recite, in chronological order, the things you said, and what you did to get to the alter, but, let's face it. We're better than that.

Your story will be written to celebrate you both, not bogged down in detail, but nuanced and romantically exploring your journey, celebrating the things that make you and your love unique, with a little humour, lots of love and a mix of your words and mine.

*Ceremony Tip*

Practice your wedding vows, out loud!

When I ask my couples if there is anything they are nervous about when it comes to the ceremony, most will say they are worried about their vows, whether that's the public speaking part, or actually writing them.

Luckily, my couples have me as a sounding board to help craft beautiful vows if it's needed. However, I can't help you say them, so my top tip for your ceremony is to take a few minutes and practice them out loud (more than once!).

This will help the words come more naturally to you on the day amidst all the emotion, and while you're practicing, you can play with the tone and speed too. Just like anything, practice makes perfect.

Karina and Jack's lives have been criss-crossing since primary school.

They got to their teenage years and their hearts simply couldn't contain themselves any longer.

They shared their first kiss while camping with family and friends many years ago, then then, their first kiss as Husband and Wife last Saturday.
